     Edwin Sheard was born in 1836. He was the son of Michael Sheard and Sarah Newsome. Edwin Sheard was baptized on 7 December 1836 at Batley.¹
He died in 1837 at Batley. He was buried on 27 September 1837 at Batley ; aged 10 months.¹

     David Sheard was born on 3 October 1838. He was the son of Michael Sheard and Sarah Newsome. David Sheard was baptized on 4 November 1838 at Batley.¹
He died in 1840 at Batley. He was buried on 24 May 1840 at Batley.¹

     Matilda Sheard was born in 1828. She was the daughter of Michael Sheard and Sarah Newsome. Matilda Sheard was baptized on 15 December 1828 at Batley.¹
She died in 1848 at Batley. She was buried on 10 September 1848 at Batley with her mother Sarah.¹

     David Sheard was born on 28 October 1843.¹ He was the son of Abraham Sheard and Maria Sheard.

David Sheard died on 29 April 1895 at age 51.^9,1 He was buried on 1 May 1895 at the Cemetery, Batley. His well attended funeral included representatives from Batley tradesman's association, The Nelson of the Nile Lodge, of which he was a past Master, and Zion Chapel, with which he had had a long connection.¹⁰

     Jane Ann Sheard was born on 7 March 1848 at Batley.¹ She was the daughter of Abraham Sheard and Maria Sheard. Jane Ann Sheard was baptized on 30 July 1848 at Batley.¹
She appeared on the census of 30 March 1851 in the household of Abraham Sheard at Commercial Street, Havercroft, Batley.²

     Annie Ellen Sheard was born on 14 May 1857.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel Sheard and Agnes Sheard. Annie Ellen Sheard was baptized on 31 May 1857 at Batley.¹

In the census of 7 April 1861 she was listed as aged 3 the daughter of Samuel Sheard at Wellington Street, Batley.²
In the census of 2 April 1871 she was listed as the niece of Helen Stocker.³ Annie Ellen Sheard married William Ackroyd Chappell, son of Jeremiah Chappell and Sophia Helliwell, in 1880 at Pontefract.⁴
