     William Edward Knowles was born in 1864. He was the son of Joseph Henry Knowles and Lucy Hall. In the census of 2 April 1871 he was listed as a scholar the grandson of Letitia Hall.¹

     James Parkinson married Bathsheba Hall, daughter of Thomas Hall and Bathsheba Healey, on 26 March 1856 at Batley.^1,2

In the census of 2 April 1871 she was listed as the granddaughter of Letitia Hall St4rictly she was the granddaughter of Letitia's late husband by his first wife, Letitia's sister.²

     Jacob Senior was born on 12 March 1819.¹ He was the son of John Senior and Eleanor Bain. Jacob Senior was baptized on 7 April 1819 at Salem Methodist New Connexion Chapel, Dewsbury.¹
He married Ann Armitage on 18 September 1839 at the Parish Church, Batley.²
