     William Ackroyd Chappell was born in 1858 at Morley. He was the son of Jeremiah Chappell and Sophia Helliwell. In the census of 7 April 1861 he was listed as the son of Jeremiah Chappell at Back Lane, Morley.¹
William Ackroyd Chappell married Annie Ellen Sheard, daughter of Samuel Sheard and Agnes Sheard, in 1880 at Pontefract.²
In the census of 3 April 1881 he was listed as the head of household at Cornmarket, Pontefract, As a clerk in Pontefract County Court Office.³

     Ada Sheard was born on 5 May 1867 at Batley. She was the daughter of Samuel Sheard and Agnes Sheard. In the census of 2 April 1871 she was listed as aged 3 the daughter of Samuel Sheard at 15 St George's Square, Batley.¹
In the census of 3 April 1881 she was listed as a school teacher the daughter of Samuel Sheard at Park Road (Stanley Terrace), Batley.²
In the census of 5 April 1891 she was listed as a school teacher the daughter of Samuel Sheard at Grosvenor Road, Batley.³
Ada Sheard married Sam Sykes on 5 October 1893 at Batley.⁴
In the census of 31 March 1901 she was listed as in the household of Sam Sykes at 84 Dark Lane, Batley.⁵

     Marian Isabel Sheard was born in 1874 at Batley. She was the daughter of Samuel Sheard and Sophia Helliwell. In the census of 3 April 1881 she was listed as a scholar, aged 7 the daughter of Samuel Sheard at Park Road (Stanley Terrace), Batley.¹
In the census of 5 April 1891 she was listed as aged 17, but listed here as Bel, though i assume given the age that this is Marrian the daughter of Samuel Sheard at Grosvenor Road, Batley.²
In the census of 31 March 1901 she was listed as the daughter of Samuel Sheard at 15 Grosvenor Road.³
In the census of 2 April 1911 she was listed as the sister of Joe Fernandes Sheard.

      Ethel Maud Mary Sheard was also known as May Sheard. She was born circa 1876 at Batley. She was the daughter of Samuel Sheard and Sophia Helliwell. In the census of 3 April 1881 she was listed as a scholar, aged 4 the daughter of Samuel Sheard at Park Road (Stanley Terrace), Batley.¹
In the census of 5 April 1891 she was listed as aged 14 the daughter of Samuel Sheard at Grosvenor Road, Batley.²
In the census of 31 March 1901 she was listed as the daughter of Samuel Sheard at 15 Grosvenor Road.³
In the census of 2 April 1911 she was listed as the sister of Joe Fernandes Sheard. Ethel Maud Mary Sheard died on 12 September 1942.⁴

     Charles Ramsey was born circa 1852 at Batley. He married Mary Ann Sheard, daughter of John Sheard and Elizabeth Thompson, in 1871.¹

     Ann Smith was born circa 1850 at Honley. She married Benjamin William Sheard, son of Hyrcanus Sheard and Ann Smith, on 12 February 1870 at St Thomas, Batley.¹

In the census of 2 June 1880 Ann Smith was listed at Ward 21, Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as wife of Benjamin William Sheard.³

     Sarah Ann Brooke was born in 1840. She was the daughter of William Brooke and Sarah Sheard. In the census of 6 June 1841 she was listed as aged 7 months the daughter of William Brooke at Havercroft, Batley.¹
In the census of 30 March 1851 she was listed as aged 10, a scholar the daughter of William Brooke at Havercroft, Batley.²
In the census of 7 April 1861 she was listed as a housekeeper aged 20 the daughter of William Brooke at Hick Lane, Batley.³

     Michael Sheard Autey was born on 21 July 1812 at Batley. He was the son of Thomas Autey and Sarah Sheard. Michael Sheard Autey was baptized on 23 August 1812 at Batley.¹

     Caroline (?) was born circa 1825 at Wakefield. She married John Talbot, son of John Talbot and Hannah Slater.
In the census of 7 April 1861 Caroline Talbot was listed at Field Lane, Batley, as wife of John Talbot.¹

     Catherine Hepworth was born circa 1840 at Heckmondwike. She was the daughter of Thomas Hepworth and Mary (?). Catherine Hepworth married Richard Smith, son of Joseph Smith and Maria Blakeley, in 1859.
In the census of 7 April 1861 she was listed as the daughter-in-law of Joseph Smith.¹ In the census of 2 April 1871 she was listed as the daughter of Thomas Hepworth at New Street, Batley.²
In the census of 3 April 1881 she was listed as the daughter of Thomas Hepworth at New Street, Batley.³

     Martha Smith was born in 1861 at Batley. She was the daughter of Richard Smith and Catherine Hepworth. In the census of 7 April 1861 se was listed as aged 2 months the granddaughter of Joseph Smith.¹

     Richard Ward died. He was born on 23 August 1843 at Batley.¹ He was the son of John Ward and Sarah (?). Richard Ward was baptized on 10 September 1843 at Batley.¹
He died in June 1844. He was buried on 17 June 1844 at Batley ; aged 9 months.¹

     Mary (?) was born circa 1806. She married Michael Ward, son of Samuel Ward and Hannah Spedding.
In the census of 6 June 1841 Mary (?) was listed at Craven Heifer, Batley, as wife of Michael Ward.¹

     Samuel Ward was born in 1832 at Batley. He was the son of Michael Ward and Mary (?). Samuel Ward was baptized on 4 September 1832 at Batley.¹

     William Spedding Ward was born on 27 September 1840 at Batley.¹ He was the son of Michael Ward and Mary (?). In the census of 6 June 1841 he was listed as aged 7 months the son of Michael Ward at Craven Heifer, Batley.²
William Spedding Ward was baptized on 8 May 1843 at Batley.¹
In the census of 7 April 1861 he was listed as a butcher aged 20 the son of Michael Ward at White Lee Road, Batley.³

     George Watson Ward was born circa 1836. He was the son of Michael Ward and Mary (?). In the census of 6 June 1841 he was listed as aged 4 the son of Michael Ward at Craven Heifer, Batley.¹
George Watson Ward died in 1844. He was buried on 2 January 1845 at Batley ; of White Lee, Batley, aged 7.²

     William Hepworth was born in 1821. He was the son of Thomas Hepworth and Mary Thompson. William Hepworth was baptized on 22 April 1821 at Batley.¹
In the census of 6 June 1841 he was listed as the son of Thomas Hepworth at Staincliffe, Batley.²

     Ann (?) was born circa 1834 at Dewsbury. She married George Spedding, son of Charles Spedding and Hannah Clapham.
In the census of 7 April 1861 she was listed as the daughter-in-law of Charles Spedding.¹ In the census of 2 April 1871 Ann (?) was listed at Wilton St, Dewsbury, as wife of George Spedding.²

     Samuel Spedding was born circa 1858. He was the son of George Spedding and Ann (?). In the census of 7 April 1861 he was listed as as Sml, aged 2 the grandson of Charles Spedding.¹ In the census of 2 April 1871 he was listed as a scholar the son of George Spedding at Wilton St, Dewsbury.²

     Fanny Spedding was born circa 1865 at Dewsbury. She was the daughter of George Spedding and Ann (?). In the census of 2 April 1871 she was listed as a scholar the daughter of George Spedding at Wilton St, Dewsbury.¹

     Mary Ineson was born circa 1785. She was the daughter of Barnabas Ineson. Mary Ineson married Thomas Hall, son of Thomas Hall and Frances Allott, on 16 October 1806 at Batley witnesses were Robert Braerley, Henry Hall and Henry Garrit.¹
Mary Ineson died in 1810. She was buried on 29 March 1810 at Batley ; as Mary wife of Thomas Hall junr.¹

     Ann Hall was born on 6 December 1808 at Batley.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Hall and Mary Ineson. Ann Hall was baptized on 21 January 1809 at Batley.¹

     Hannah Hall was born on 20 August 1807 at Batley. She was the daughter of Thomas Hall and Mary Ineson. Hannah Hall was baptized on 20 September 1807 at Batley.¹
