     Elizabeth Chadwick was born in 1728. She was the daughter of William Chadwick and Ann Shepley. Elizabeth Chadwick was baptized on 9 July 1728 at Batley.

     Sarah Spedding married John Thompson, son of John Thompson and Amy Buckler, on 29 May 1758 at Parish Church, Batley.¹

     John Thurman was born in 1724. He was the son of John Thurman and Elizibeth Gomersal. John Thurman was baptized on 6 January 1723/24 at Batley.
He married Deborah Wilby, daughter of Alvera Wilby, on 5 June 1751 at Batley.¹

     John Scott married Mary Chadwick, daughter of James Chadwick and Elizabeth Wilby, on 9 July 1786 at Thornhill spouse identified from baptisms of son James (Dade registers).

     Ann Milns was the daughter of Benjamin Milns. Ann Milns married William Thompson, son of John Thompson and Sarah Spedding, on 27 November 1783 at Batley.

     Mary Elizabeth Blackburn was born in 1850. She was the daughter of Martha Blackburn. In the census of 30 March 1851 she was listed as the granddaughter of Sarah Blackburn.¹ Mary Elizabeth Blackburn was baptized on 27 October 1852 at Batley.
In the census of 7 April 1861 she was listed as a scholar aged 10 the daughter of Martha Blackburn at "top of the Hill"(adjacent to Purlwell), Batley.²
As of 2 April 1871, Mary Elizabeth Blackburn was also known as Mary Elizabeth Booth following her mother's marriage to James Booth. In the census of 2 April 1871 she was listed as the daughter of James Willans Booth at Beck Lane, Batley.³

     Sarah Ann Blackburn was born on 21 July 1843 at Batley. She was the daughter of William Blackburn and Sarah Thompson. Sarah Ann Blackburn was baptized on 27 August 1843 at Batley.¹
In the census of 30 March 1851 she was listed as the daughter of Sarah Blackburn at Union Street, Batley.²
In the census of 7 April 1861 she was listed as a woollen power loom weaver, the sister of Martha Blackburn.³
Sarah Ann Blackburn married Hiram Preston, son of John Preston and Hannah Firth, on 15 April 1865 at Batley Witnesses were Joseph Preston and George Blackburn. Sarah Ann, who made her mark, gave her father William's occupation as manufacturer.^4,1
Sarah Ann Blackburn died in 1866 at Batley. She was buried on 1 March 1866 at Batley.¹

     Elizabeth Terry was born in 1824 at Batley. She was the daughter of Mark Terry and Elizabeth Ineson. Elizabeth Terry was baptized on 17 September 1824 at Parish Church, Batley.¹
She was listed in the census of 6 June 1841 at Clerk Green, Batley, a Woollen lab.²
She married Thomas Blackburn, son of William Blackburn and Sarah Thompson, on 18 October 1849 at Batley.^3,1
In the census of 30 March 1851 she was listed as the daughter-in-law of Sarah Blackburn.⁴
In the census of 7 April 1861 she was listed as the head of household at Peel St, Batley, a rag sorter, listed as a married woman but husband is absent.⁵
In the census of 2 April 1871 she was listed as the head of household at Peel Street, Batley, as a rag sorter, now shown as a widow. Here Elizabeth's age is given as 56, but I think this is an error and that this is the same Elizabeth as shown in the 1861 censuses with an age fitting with a birth in 1824. Her son William's age does not show this discrepancy.⁶
In the census of 3 April 1881 she was listed as the head of household at Peel Street, Batley, as a woollen rag sorter aged 56.⁷
Elizabeth Blackburn died on 17 December 1888.⁸
