William Dean of Batley was buried on 15 December 1822 at Dewsbury aged 45.¹

Hiram Preston was also known as Iram Preston (with dropped aitch in Yorkshire fashion). In the census of 6 June 1841 he was listed as the son of John Preston at Batley New mill, Batley.¹
Hiram Preston married Sarah Ann Blackburn, daughter of William Blackburn and Sarah Thompson, on 15 April 1865 at Batley Witnesses were Joseph Preston and George Blackburn. Sarah Ann, who made her mark, gave her father William's occupation as manufacturer.^2,3

She was listed in the census of 3 April 1881 at off Wellington Street, Batley, as housemaid to her grandmother Maria Newsome; as an annuitant aged 80.³ Emmeline Newsome married Joseph Blackburn, son of George Blackburn and Ann Thurman, on 24 September 1887 at Zion Chapel, Batley, by licence; witnesses were John Dixon Newsome and Sarah Blackburn.^4,5

     Shem Carter Cartridge was born circa 1859 at Askern. He was the son of Joseph Cartridge. Shem Carter Cartridge married Charlotte Hannah Blackburn, daughter of George Blackburn and Ann Thurman, on 5 March 1889 at Batley.^1,2

     Gladys Eva M Cartridge was born circa 1890 at Darwen, Lancashire. She was the daughter of Shem Carter Cartridge and Charlotte Hannah Blackburn. In the census of 5 April 1891 se was listed as aged 5 the granddaughter of George Blackburn.¹ In the census of 31 March 1901 she was listed as aged 11 the daughter of Shem Carter Cartridge at Soothill Lane (Westbury Terace), Soothill.²

George Wrigley Blackburn married Annie Crowther Blackburn, daughter of George Frederick Blackburn, on 10 July 1919 at Christchurch, Liversedge.⁵

In the census of 3 April 1881 he was listed as a woollen cloth manufacturer the grandson of Rachel Shackleton.² Herbert Wilson married Mary Amelia Jones in 1888.
In the census of 5 April 1891 he was listed as the head of household at Ebury Street, Batley, as a woollen cloth manufacturer aged 27.³

     Harry Wilson was born on 11 February 1869.¹ He was the son of Edwin Wilson and Martha Jane Fox. In the census of 2 April 1871 he was listed as aged 2 the son of Edwin Wilson at Brownhill.²
Harry Wilson was baptized on 23 June 1872 at Batley.¹
In the census of 3 April 1881 he was listed as a scholar aged 12 the grandson of Rachel Shackleton.³ In the census of 5 April 1891 he was listed as a solicitor the brother of Herbert Wilson.⁴ Harry Wilson married Dorothy Brearley Senior, daughter of Samuel Senior and Elizabeth Brearley, in 1893.⁵

     Harriet Garret was born circa 1790. She was the daughter of Henry Garret. Harriet Garret married John Thompson, son of Thomas Thompson and Ann Chadwick.
Harriet Thompson died in 1826. She was buried on 26 July 1826 ; aged 36.¹

     Henry Thompson was born on 19 September 1812.¹ He was the son of John Thompson and Harriet Garret. Henry Thompson was baptized on 4 October 1812 at Batley.¹
He married Mary Exley, daughter of Samuel Exley and Elizabeth Nelson, on 3 November 1836 at Batley He writes, she makes her mark. Witnesses Jeremiah Chadwick, Thomas Exley(?).¹
