     Thomas Nightingale was born circa 1763. He married Ann Ward on 8 December 1788 at Dewsbury by licence. Thomas was described as a woolstapler. Witnesse were Abraham Hemingway and ? Sykes.1
Thomas Nightingale married Ann Wigglesworth, daughter of William Wigglesworth, on 8 August 1796 at Dewsbury by licence. Thomas was described as a shopkeeper. Witnesses were R Greenwood and F Sykes.1
Thomas Nightingale died on 27 December 1820; aged 57. He was buried on 31 December 1820 at Dewsbury.

     Jane Whitworth was born on 10 February 1839.1 She was the daughter of Charles Whitworth and Maria Nightingale.
In the census of 30 March 1851 she was listed as a scholar the daughter of Charles Whitworth at Common Side, Soothill.2
Jane Whitworth married Josiah Greaves, son of James Greaves and Hannah Mallinson, on 25 August 1863. Sadly Josiah was to die after less than a year of marriage, and their only child, a daughter, was born posthumously.1
Jane Greaves married Edwin Colbeck, son of Israel Colbeck and Elizabeth Exley, on 20 August 1868 at St Peter's Church, Earlsheaton.1
In 1876 Jane Colbeck is said to have been the purchaser of a factory at Loups à Maromme near Rouen, perhaps with an inheritance from the Greaves family.1,3
In the census of 3 April 1881 she was listed as the daughter of Maria Whitworth at Hill cottage, Church Hill, Soothill.4
Jane Colbeck died on 2 December 1905 at Maromme at age 66.

He married Martha Sheard, daughter of Isaac Sheard and Harriet Stubley, on 17 December 1863 at Mirfield.2,3
In the census of 2 April 1871 he was listed as the head of household at Ravens St, Mirfield, as a cloth fuller.4
Josiah Clafton and Martha emigrated in 1872 to Little Falls, New York, sailing on the "Spain" arrriving in New York on the 26th August.5,6
Josiah Clafton died in 1888. He was buried in 1888 at Wilcox cemetery, Little Falls, New York.7

     George Clafton was born in April 1865. He was the son of Josiah Clafton and Martha Sheard. George Clafton was baptized on 12 November 1865 at Mirfield.1
He emigrated with Josiah and Martha Clafton in 1872 to Little Falls, New York; sailing on the "Spain" arrriving in New York on the 26th August.2,3 In 1892 George Clafton visited England, sailing on the Etruria from New York to Liverpool and arriving on the 28th May. He returned on the same ship, arriving in New York on July 11th.3
In the census of 1900 he was listed as a blacksmith the son of Martha Clafton at Little Falls, Herkimer, New York.4
In the census of 23 April 1910 he was listed as having a blacksmith's shop on his own account, the son of Martha Clafton at Little Falls, Herkimer, New York.5
In the census of 12 January 1920 he was listed as a blacksmith working on his own account the son of Martha Clafton at 6 Webster Street, Little Falls, Herkimer, New York.6

     Isaac Sheard was born on 29 January 1868 at Ravensthorpe. He was the son of Jacob Sheard and Ann Naylor.
In the census of 2 April 1871 he was listed as aged 3 the son of Jacob Sheard at Inman Fold, Ravensthorpe.1
In the census of 3 April 1881 he was listed as a scholar aged 13 the son of Jacob Sheard at Albion Street, Mirfield.2
In 1883 Isaac Sheard emigrated to Little Falls, New York State, with his parents Jacob and Ann Sheard.3,4 Isaac Sheard had a rough time in his late teens, when a newspaper report tells us that only a few days after losing two fingers in an accident at Titus Sheard's mill, he was badly kicked whilst attempting to pass a team of oxen in Little Falls and suffered a broken leg.5

Isaac Sheard married Martha Duesler, daughter of Edward C Duesler and Elizabeth Christman, on 14 February 1891.6
In the census of 11 June 1900 he was listed as the head of household at 7 Webster Street, Little Falls, Herkimer, New York, working as a spinner.7
This must have been at his great uncle Titus Sheard's Eagle knitting mill where his obituary tells us he was employed for 20 years.
In the census of 1910 he was listed as the head of household at 10 Webster Street, Litttle Falls, Herkimer, New York, in a knitting machine factory.8
In the census of 12 January 1920 he was listed as the head of household at Little Falls, Herkimer, New York, (His occupation is hard to read, but looks to me like shipper clerk, machine shop) His obituary adds that he worked in Stafford and Holt machine shops on Mill Street.9
In the census of 5 April 1930 he was listed as the head of household at 64 Jackson Street, Little Falls, Herkimer, New York,, by now aged 62 and as of no occupation.10
Isaac Sheard died on 25 February 1935 at Jackson Street, Little Falls, New York, at age 67.6
