     Susanna Whewell married James Allott, son of John Allott and Sarah Whewell, on 20 January 1731 at Birstall.¹

     Jonas Oddy married Grace Rodwell on 24 June 1719 at Batley.¹
Jonas Oddy made a will on 23 October 1771 at Dale House, Heckmondwike. Describing himself as a clothier, he makes his eldest son George Oddy and Joseph Allott his son-in-law his executors, It is to them that he leaves his personal estate, goods and chattels, and he wishes them to occupy his house, passing to them under tenant right as his sons subject to the acceptance of his landlord, a Mr Furnisk (probably Furness) His goods are to be valued and for every pound in value of the valuation they are to pay his wife a shilling a year, to be paid quarterly.
To younger sons John and William he leaves a shilling apiece, and a shilling also to his daughter Mary her heirs and assigns (written as ares and asines, the spelling is rather phonetic!)

witnesses were Jeremiah Firth and Thomas Lister.²

      Grace Rodwell was also known as Grace Rothwell. She married Jonas Oddy on 24 June 1719 at Batley.¹

     George Oddy was born in 1721. He was the son of Jonas Oddy and Grace Rodwell. George Oddy was baptized on 7 May 1721 at Batley.¹
He was to share the inheritance of his father's personal estate and the tenancy of Dale House at Heckmondwike with his brother-in-law Joseph Allott; Describing himself as a clothier, he makes his eldest son.²

     John Oddy was born in 1723. He was the son of Jonas Oddy and Grace Rodwell. John Oddy was baptized on 26 February 1723 at Batley.¹

     Mary Oddy was born in 1725. She was the daughter of Jonas Oddy and Grace Rodwell. Mary Oddy was baptized on 11 July 1725 at Batley.¹

     Jonas Oddy was born in 1730. He was the son of Jonas Oddy and Grace Rodwell. Jonas Oddy was baptized on 25 October 1730 at Batley.¹
He married Rebecca Blackburn on 13 March 1750/51 at Birstall.²

     Joseph Oddy was born in 1732. He was the son of Jonas Oddy and Grace Rodwell. Joseph Oddy was baptized on 31 December 1732 at Batley.¹

     George Oddy was born in 1735. He was the son of Jonas Oddy and Grace Rodwell. George Oddy was baptized on 18 February 1734/35 at Batley.¹
This George Oddy is something as a puzzle as the entry is clear in Batley records, and I had thought that the elder George must have died, in which case it would have been quite usual to give another son the same name. however, the George mentioned in his father's will is the eldest son, still alive so not this George. So maybe he was son of another Jonas, or another Oddy.

     William Oddy was born in 1737. He was the son of Jonas Oddy and Grace Rodwell. William Oddy was baptized on 14 August 1737 at Batley.¹
He married Alice Pollard, daughter of Samuel Pollard, on 12 October 1760 at Birstall.²

     Alice Pollard is the daughter of Samuel Pollard. Alice Pollard married William Oddy, son of Jonas Oddy and Grace Rodwell, on 12 October 1760 at Birstall.¹

     Elizabeth Firth is the daughter of John Firth. Elizabeth Firth married William Thurman, son of James Thurman and Ann Fearnsides, on 4 November 1802 at Batley witnesses Abraham Smith and James Naylor.¹

     George Thurman was born on 21 February 1811 at Dewsbury. He was the son of William Thurman and Elizabeth Firth. George Thurman was baptized on 24 March 1811 at Batley.¹

In the census of 30 March 1851 he was listed as the head of household at Hanging Heaton as a rag dealer.²
In the census of 7 April 1861 he was listed as the head of household at 60 Common Side, Soothill, as a woollen rag dealer employing 3 women.

     James Thurmand was born on 11 September 1803. He was the son of William Thurman and Elizabeth Firth. James Thurmand was baptized on 18 September 1803 at Batley.¹
He married Sarah Day, daughter of Jonathan Day and Rebecca Senior, on 13 March 1834 at Dewsbury.²
In the census of 6 June 1841 he was listed as the head of household at Batley Carr, Batley, as a woollen manufacturer. Also present is Simon Day, 15, an apprentice.³
In the census of 30 March 1851 he was listed as the head of household at Batley Carr, Batley, as a master manufacturer, woollen employing 12 men and 5 women and one of a firm of employing 41 men, 30 women and 40 children.⁴
On 23 May 1877 James Thurmand and his sons, who had been trading as James Thurmand and Sons, woollen manufacturers, of Batley Carr, filed a petition f0r bankruptcy.⁵
He died on 6 August 1895 at age 91.⁶

     Mary Thurman was born on 21 December 1804. She was the daughter of William Thurman and Elizabeth Firth. Mary Thurman was baptized on 3 February 1805 at Batley.¹

     Nanny Oddy was born in 1767. She was the daughter of William Oddy and Alice Pollard. Nanny Oddy was baptized on 31 May 1767 at Batley.¹

     Nelly Oddy was born in 1770. She was the daughter of William Oddy and Alice Pollard. Nelly Oddy was baptized on 25 December 1770 at Batley.¹

     James Oddy was born in 1773. He was the son of William Oddy and Alice Pollard. James Oddy was baptized in January 1773 at Batley.¹

     Abram Oddy was born in 1775. He was the son of William Oddy and Alice Pollard. Abram Oddy was baptized on 4 June 1775 at Batley.¹

     Benijah Oddy was born on 27 April 1777. He was the son of William Oddy and Alice Pollard. Benijah Oddy was baptized on 5 October 1777 at Batley.¹
He made a will in 1838which describes him as of Liversedge Hall.

     Rebecca Oddy was born on 22 November 1779. She was the daughter of William Oddy and Alice Pollard. Rebecca Oddy was baptized on 9 January 1780 at Batley.¹

     Joseph Oddy was born on 3 September 1782. He was the son of William Oddy and Alice Pollard. Joseph Oddy was baptized on 25 December 1782 at Batley.¹

     Elizabeth Chadwick was born circa 1816. Elizabeth Chadwick was a niece of #2798 Joseph Chadwick.
In the census of 6 June 1841 she was listed as in the household of Joseph Chadwick at Up Lane, Batley.¹
