     Hannah Thurman was born circa 1842 at Hanging Heaton. He was the son of George Thurman and Mary (?).

     John Redfearn was born circa 1790. He was the son of Thomas Redfearn and Mary Hall.

     John Craven married Grace Hall, daughter of John Hall and Sarah Gledhill, on 26 December 1824 at Batley.¹

     George E Binns was born on 8 May 1914 at Holyoke, Massachusetts.¹ He was the son of Fred Stocks Binns and Malvina Surprenant. In the census of 16 January 1920 he was listed as aged 5 the son of Fred Stocks Binns at Holyoke, Hampden, Massachusetts.²
George E Binns died on 31 December 2007 at Pascoag, Rhode Island, at age 93.¹

     Samuel A McMaster was born circa 1907. He is the son of John William McMaster and Ethel M Binns. In the census of April 1910 he was listed as the son of John William McMaster at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.¹

     John W McMaster was born in 1908. He was the son of John William McMaster and Ethel M Binns. In the census of April 1910 he was listed as the son of John William McMaster at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.¹

     George Stanhope Blakeley was born in 1873.¹ He was the son of George Stanhope Blakeley and Eliza Oldroyd. George Stanhope Blakeley died on 17 October 1901 at Bangkok, Thailand.² He was buried in 1901 at Protestant Cemetery, Bangkok, Thailand, An inscription on his grave reads
"In Loving Memory of George Stanhope Blakeley of Dewsbury, England, who died in Bangkok, October 17th, 1901, aged 27 years."²

     Clive McMurchy was born in 1903. He was the son of John McMurchy and Ida M Joy.
In the census of June 1911 he was listed as the son of John McMurchy at Brampton, Ontario, Canada.¹
In 1914 Clive McMurchy with his step-mother made a prolonged visit to England, arriving in Liverpool on the "Hesperian" on the 12th of March, and sailing back to Canada on the "Calgarian", arriving in Quebec on the 9th of July. in 1914.²

     Arthur William Dodgshun was born in 1847.¹ He was the son of Isaac Dodgshun and Eliza Naylor. In the census of 30 March 1851 he was listed as the son of Isaac Dodgshun at Elmwood Green, Leeds.²
In the census of 2 April 1871 he was listed as a woollen manufacturer the nephew of James Dodgshun.³ An earlier connection of Joseph Parker as agent for the Dodgshuns has been noted, and for a time Arthur William Dodgshun , son of wool merchant Isaac, was in partnership with Joseph and his sons as woollen manufacturers and scrbbling millers at Batley, withdrawing from this in January 1873.⁴
On 15 March 1877 Arthur William Dodgshun was ordained as one of the missionaries of the London Missionary Society and soon after left as one of the members of a mission to Tanganyika. This was to be an ill-fated expedition. Plans to travel with wagons hauled by oxen were thwarted when the oxen succum bed to tsetse flies, and the expedition had to wait for a season before they could proceed. then dogged by the death of their original leader, desertion of their porters, attacks and theft of their goods.⁵
He died in 1879 at Ujiji, Africa, only a week after his arrival there.⁵

     Emily Dodgshun was born in 1850. She was the daughter of Isaac Dodgshun and Eliza Naylor. In the census of 30 March 1851 she was listed as the daughter of Isaac Dodgshun at Elmwood Green, Leeds.¹

     William Dodgshun was born in 1825. He was the son of Joseph Dodgshun and Sarah Dixon.

     Sarah Dodgshun was born circa 1826. She was the daughter of Joseph Dodgshun and Sarah Dixon.

     Martha Dodgshun was born in 1827. She was the daughter of Joseph Dodgshun and Sarah Dixon.

     Elizabeth Dodgshun was born circa 1828. She was the daughter of Joseph Dodgshun and Sarah Dixon.

     Joseph Dodgshun was born in 1831. He was the son of Joseph Dodgshun and Sarah Dixon.

     James Dodgshun was born in 1833. He was the son of Joseph Dodgshun and Sarah Dixon. James Dodgshun was probably the one, described as merchant of Melbourne, son of Mr Joseph Dodgshun of Morley, merchant, who married Ann Palmer Fenton on 15 December 1858 at Melbourne.¹

     Abraham Naylor married Ann (?).

     Joseph Naylor was born in 1810. He was the son of Abraham Naylor and Ann (?).
Joseph Naylor was baptized on 26 December 1810 at Dewsbury.¹
Joseph Naylor's uncle James Dodgshun, married to his sister Fanny, was the founder of a shoddy mill in Wittenberge in Germany.
He was named as his brother-in-law James Dodgshun's representative in Wittenberge in 1851 and seems to have already been playing an active role, whilst a John Charlesworth was named as works manager in 1852.
Joseph Naylor married Rachel Barraclough in 1854 at Leeds.²
In 1858 Joseph Naylor took over the Wittenberge business from his brother-in-law. He was to expand into cloth production there.
In 1882 Caleb Cowling moved to Wittenberge to work for the firm headed by Joseph.³

In the census of 3 April 1881 he was listed as born in Germany, apprentice to a dyer, staying with his uncle James Dodgshun at Hamburg Villa, Clarendon Road, Leeds.¹
