Benjamin Buckley was born circa 1819 at Leeds. He married Mary Blakeley, daughter of Abraham Blakeley and Martha Colbeck, on 11 November 1838 at Wakefield I believe this to be Mary Blakeley born 1819 as in the 1861 census a George Buckley is living with her sister Sarah as nephew.1
In the census of 30 March 1851 he was listed as the head of household at Havercroft North side, Batley, a hand loom weaver aged 32.2
