     John Blakeley was born in 1757. He was the son of William Blakeley and Rosamund Thompson. John Blakeley was baptized on 27 November 1757 at Batley.

     Jonathan Blakeley was born in 1760. He was the son of William Blakeley and Rosamund Thompson. Jonathan Blakeley was baptized on 1 February 1760 at Batley.
He died in 1761. He was buried on 6 March 1761 at Batley ; as son of William Blakeley.¹

     Ann Blakeley was born in 1762. She was the daughter of William Blakeley and Rosamund Thompson. Ann Blakeley was baptized on 26 March 1762 at Batley.

     Aby Blakeley was born in 1764. She was the daughter of William Blakeley and Rosamund Thompson. Aby Blakeley was baptized on 7 October 1764 at Batley.

     Moses Cowling was born in 1743. He was baptized on 12 June 1743 at Batley.¹
He was the son of John Cowling. Moses Cowling married Mary Blakeley, daughter of Caleb Blakeley and Hannah Allen, on 14 October 1765 at Batley.¹

     Mary Cowling was born on 12 January 1777. She was the daughter of Moses Cowling and Mary Blakeley. Mary Cowling was baptized on 2 February 1777 at Batley.¹

     John Cowling was born on 1 January 1779. He was the son of Moses Cowling and Mary Blakeley. John Cowling was baptized on 17 January 1779 at Batley.¹
He died on 24 August 1849 at age 70. He was buried on 26 August 1849 at Batley.¹

     Lydia Sheard was born in 1746. She was the daughter of Jonas Sheard and Dinah Kirk. Lydia Sheard was baptized on 29 September 1746 at Birstall.¹

     James Sheard was born in 1756. He was the son of Jonas Sheard and Dinah Kirk. James Sheard was baptized on 18 July 1756 at Moravian Church, Gomersal.

     Elizabeth Sheard was born in 1716. She was the daughter of Michael Sheard and Abigail Healey. Elizabeth Sheard was baptized on 9 September 1716 at Birstall.¹
She married Benjamin Sheard, son of Benjamin Sheard, on 24 March 1733/34 at Birstall.²

     Mary Sheard was born in 1715 at Birstall.¹ She was the daughter of Michael Sheard and Abigail Healey. Mary Sheard was baptized on 9 January 1714/15 at Birstall.^1,2

     Lydia Sheard was born in 1725. She was the daughter of Michael Sheard and Abigail Healey. Lydia Sheard was baptized on 11 April 1725 at Birstall.¹
She married William Whiteley on 17 February 1747/48.¹

     Benjamin Sheard was born in 1723. He was the son of Michael Sheard and Abigail Healey. Benjamin Sheard was baptized on 8 September 1723 at Birstall.¹

     Susanna Sheard was born in 1731. She was the daughter of Michael Sheard and Abigail Healey. Susanna Sheard was baptized on 12 December 1731 at Birstall.¹

Thomas of L Moreside may be brother of Joshua. He married Mary Lyley on 10 April 1680 at Birstall.¹
Joshua Healey was buried on 20 April 1709 as of Long Liversedge.¹

     Mary Lyley married Joshua Healey on 10 April 1680 at Birstall.¹

     John Sheard married Elizabeth Armitage on 12 August 1669 at Thornhill.¹
John Sheard died in 1690 at Thornhill.
He was buried on 18 April 1690 as John Sheard of Briestwell at Thornhill.¹
He (earlier in Thornhill there are entries for a Matthew Sheard buried 22 6 1646, and wife buried 29 6 1649. A son Jonas was baptised 21 5 1643 but buried in 1645, described as son of Matthew of Briestwell, and a Jane was baptised in 1639 who may be the one buried in 1665).¹

     Elizabeth Armitage married John Sheard on 12 August 1669 at Thornhill.¹
Elizabeth Armitage may have died in 1721.¹ She may have been the Elizabeth Sheard buried on 9 September 1721 at Thornhill; as of Briestwell.¹

     Mary Sheard was born in 1670 at Briestwell. She was the daughter of John Sheard and Elizabeth Armitage. Mary Sheard was baptized on 27 November 1670 at Thornhill.¹

     George Sheard was born in 1673 at Briestwell. He was the son of John Sheard and Elizabeth Armitage. George Sheard was baptized on 9 February 1672/73 at Thornhill.¹
He married Sarah Fisher on 4 February 1712/13 at Thornhill.
George Sheard died in 1751. He was buried on 14 September 1751 at Thornhill.
He left a will dated 29/1 /1750 There is a short inventory which mentions one cow, a crop of corn, hay in the barn, manure in the fold, and furniture including 6 chairs, a table two beds, several chairs, a pewter case, etc.

The identification of his brothers Benjamin Sheard and Michael Sheard with the ones who are later to be found in Birstall Parish is based on the fact that George Sheard's will mentions George son of his brother Michael and Benjamin son of his brother Benjamin, and this Michael and Benjamin have sons of appropriate names,whilst dates fit well. There is no further trace of them in Briestwell.
It should not, however, be regarded as proven.²

     Joseph Sheard was born in 1674 at Briestwell. He was the son of John Sheard and Elizabeth Armitage. Joseph Sheard was baptized on 21 March 1673/74 at Thornhill.¹

     John Sheard was born in 1677 at Briestwell. He was the son of John Sheard and Elizabeth Armitage. John Sheard was baptized on 29 May 1677 at Thornhill.¹

     Benjamin Sheard could have been the Benjamin born in 1679 at Briestwell. He was the son of John Sheard and Elizabeth Armitage. This Benjamin Sheard was baptized on 23 November 1679 at Thornhill.¹
He was of Littletown at baptisms of children. I think it possible that Benjamin Sheard, who had a son Benjamin, was one of the brothers mentioned by George Sheard in his will.²

     Jonas Sheard was born in 1683 at Briestwell. He was the son of John Sheard and Elizabeth Armitage. Jonas Sheard was baptized on 25 March 1683 at Thornhill.¹
