In the census of 6 June 1841 Mary Ann Newsome was listed at Havercroft, Batley, as wife of George Newsome.¹
Mary Ann (?) may be the Mary Ann Newsome to be found as a sick nurse in the household of Edward Day at Hirst House, Batley in 1851.

     Phoebe Broadhead married John Townend on 11 November 1733 at Batley.

     William Whiteley married Lydia Sheard, daughter of Michael Sheard and Abigail Healey, on 17 February 1747/48.¹

     William Spedding was born in 1827. He was the son of Robert Spedding and Ann Virr. William Spedding was baptized on 28 January 1827 at Parish Church, Batley.¹

     Hannah Clapham was born on 1 March 1799 at Batley.¹ She was the daughter of George Clapham and Martha Walker. Hannah Clapham was baptized on 1 April 1799 at Batley.¹
She married Charles Spedding, son of Samuel Spedding and Hannah Stubley, on 14 October 1819 at Batley both write.¹

In the census of 7 April 1861 Hannah Spedding was listed at Wilton Square, Dewsbury, as wife of Charles Spedding.⁴

In the census of 30 March 1851 he was listed as a woollen cloth weaver. Listed as son-in-law and under name of Thurman. the step-son of James Thurman at Up Lane, Batley.³

Joshua Stubley married Selina Burnley, daughter of James Cawthorn, on 29 September 1862 at Dewsbury described as widower and widow. Joshua was Selina's first husband's cousin.⁵

     Joseph Akeroyd was born on 15 January 1797. He was the son of Jonathan Akeroyd and Martha Stubley. Joseph Akeroyd was baptized on 5 February 1797 at Batley.
