     Mary Turner was born on 8 May 1790. She was the daughter of John Turner and Sarah Sheard. Mary Turner was baptized on 30 May 1790 at Batley.¹

     Joseph Chappel was born perhaps around 1755. That he was son of Charles is from Dade registers. He was the son of Charles Chappel and Hannah Ellis. Joseph Chappel married Mary Peel, daughter of Richard Peel, on 13 May 1776 at Birstall.¹

     Mary Peel was born in 1753. She was the daughter of Richard Peel. Mary Peel was baptized on 18 February 1753 at Birstall.¹
She married Joseph Chappel, son of Charles Chappel and Hannah Ellis, on 13 May 1776 at Birstall.¹

     Hannah Sheard was born on 17 April 1799.¹ She was the daughter of Benjamin Sheard and Elizabeth Chappel. Hannah Sheard was baptized on 28 April 1799 at Batley.¹

     Mary Sheard was born on 6 February 1802. She was the daughter of Benjamin Sheard and Elizabeth Chappel. Mary Sheard was baptized on 2 March 1802 at Batley.¹
She married Richard Gill Marshall on 25 December 1823 at Batley witnesses Jeremiah Chadwick and Abm Burnley.¹
In the census of 6 June 1841 Mary Marshall was listed at Salford as wife of Richard Gill Marshall.²

     Hannah Maria Sheard was Ann Maria at marriage.¹ She was born on 19 March 1805 at Faversham, Kent. She was the daughter of Benjamin Sheard and Elizabeth Chappel. Hannah Maria Sheard was baptized on 8 December 1805 at Batley.¹
She married Benjamin Farrar, son of Joseph Farrar and Ruth Drake, on 26 December 1824 at Batley.¹
She was listed in the census of 30 March 1851 at 26 J Ward's Hill, Batley, bobbin winder.²
In the census of 7 April 1861 she was listed as the head of household at Ben Sheard's Fold, John Ward's Hill, Batley, aged 56.³
Hannah Maria Sheard died on 6 August 1864 at age 59. She was buried on 8 August 1864 at Batley.¹

     Harriot Sheard was born on 17 June 1808.¹ She was the daughter of Benjamin Sheard and Elizabeth Chappel. Harriot Sheard was baptized on 10 July 1808 at Batley.¹
She married James Gledhill, son of Joseph Gledhill and Sarah Briggs, on 8 January 1832 at Tong witnesses were George Parker and John Sheard.²
In the census of 6 June 1841 she was listed as the head of household as a woollen warper. Her husband James is not present.³
In the census of 30 March 1851 Harriot Gledhill was listed at J Ward's Hill, Batley, as wife of James Gledhill.
In the census of 7 April 1861 Harriot Gledhill was listed at 10 Smith Court, Holbeck, Leeds, as wife of James Gledhill.

     Lydia Sheard was born in 1745. She was the daughter of Benjamin Sheard and Elizabeth Sheard. Lydia Sheard was baptized on 27 January 1744/45 at Birstall.

     John Sheard was born in 1756. He was the son of Benjamin Sheard and Elizabeth Sheard. John Sheard was baptized on 27 May 1756 at Birstall.¹

     Sarah Yates was the daughter of John Yates and Martha Gledhill. Sarah Yates was also known as Sarah Yates. She married James Sheard, son of Benjamin Sheard, on 21 September 1746 at Birstall.¹

     James Sheard was born in 1755. He was the son of James Sheard and Sarah Yates. James Sheard was baptized on 11 February 1755 at Birstall.¹

     Mary Sheard was born circa 1760. She was the daughter of James Sheard and Sarah Yates. Mary Sheard married Jonathan Wright on 19 May 1777 at Birstall.¹

     Jonas Sheard was born in 1761. He was the son of James Sheard and Sarah Yates.

     Benjamin Sheard was born ?unknown. He was the son of James Sheard and Sarah Yates. Benjamin Sheard married Elizabeth Charlesworth on 13 December 1790 at Birstall.¹

     Elizabeth Charlesworth married Benjamin Sheard, son of James Sheard and Sarah Yates, on 13 December 1790 at Birstall.¹

     Sarah Newsome was born on 20 January 1807 at Batley.¹ She was the daughter of William Newsome and Mary Stubley. Sarah Newsome was baptized on 30 March 1807 at Batley.¹
She died in 1827 at Batley.

     Eliza Newsome died ?unknown. She too close to entry for brother Joseph, and entry does not give mother's father. She was born on 20 March 1808 at Batley. She was the daughter of William Newsome and Mary Stubley. Eliza Newsome was baptized on 3 July 1808 at Batley.

     Joseph Newsome was born on 29 October 1808 at Batley. He was the son of William Newsome and Mary Stubley. Joseph Newsome was baptized on 27 November 1808 at Batley.¹
He died in 1830 at Batley.
