     Alfred Samuel Burnley was born in 1849 at Batley.¹ He was the son of George Burnley and Sarah (?).¹

     Betty Roberts was born circa 1820 at Batley. She married Abraham Burnley, son of Samuel Burnley and Elizabeth Newsome, on 22 June 1840 at Batley.¹

     John Frost Burnley was born in 1841 at Batley. He was the son of Abraham Burnley and Betty Roberts. John Frost Burnley married Sarah Farrar, daughter of Joseph Farrar, in 1865.^1,2
