     Benjamin Gott was born in 1762. Had been apprenticed to merchants Wormald and Fountaine in 1780 and was subsequently made a partner in the firm. In 1892 he was the builder of Bean Ing Mill in Leeds, where all the processes of manufacture, though some still carried out by hand , were brought onto the same premises. with loomshops and finishing facilities. He died in 1840.

     Mary Parker may have married Robert Spedding in 1733 A marriage bond for that year permits a wedding between the two in Batley or Dewsbury on the 4th of September. I have found no such marriage, but there are no marriages for that month recorded in Batley, and this could be an omission.

In the census of 5 April 1891 he was listed as a scholar the son of John Hall Senior at 34 Purlwell Lane, Batley.2
In 1909Squire Senior emigrated to America, sailing on the SS Campania from Liverpool and arriving in New York on the 29th May. He gave his next of kin's name as his brother Frank Senior of 38 Purlwell Lane, Batley. He gave his destination as Fort Plain, where his uncle by marriage, Chales Bailey, long resident in Little Falls, now had a business.3 He married Adelaide (?).
In 1920 Squire and Adelaide (?) moved to Sacramento, California where Adelaide was said to have relatives.4
Squire Senior died in March 1938 at Los Angeles.5
