James Nutter died circa 1885.

     John Gott was born in 1791. He was the son of Benjamin Gott. John Gott chaired the committeee for the proposed Leeds, Dewsbury and Manchester junction railway, on which George Sheard and Abraham Burnley represented Batley.¹ John Gott died in 1867.

     Benjamin Gott was born in 1762. Had been apprenticed to merchants Wormald and Fountaine in 1780 and was subsequently made a partner in the firm. In 1892 he was the builder of Bean Ing Mill in Leeds, where all the processes of manufacture, though some still carried out by hand , were brought onto the same premises. with loomshops and finishing facilities. He died in 1840.

     Sarah Greenwood married Robert Clapham on 8 May 1764 at Dewsbury He was described as of Batley.¹
Sarah Clapham died on 28 December 1766.²

     Jane Reyner was born circa 1719. She was the daughter of Jane Raynor. Jane Reyner was baptized on 10 May 1719.

     George Hodgson was born circa 1715. He married Ann Reyner, daughter of Jane Raynor, on 4 August 1742 at Batley.¹

     Ann Reyner was born. She is the daughter of Jane Raynor. Ann Reyner married George Hodgson on 4 August 1742 at Batley.¹

     Mary Parker may have married Robert Spedding in 1733 A marriage bond for that year permits a wedding between the two in Batley or Dewsbury on the 4th of September. I have found no such marriage, but there are no marriages for that month recorded in Batley, and this could be an omission.

     Matthew Riley was born circa 1805 at Ireland. He married Hannah Gledhill, daughter of John Gledhill and Susanna Newsome, on 29 May 1828 at Batley.¹
In the census of 6 June 1841 he was listed as the head of household at Knottingley Well, Batley.²

     Elizabeth Riley was born in 1829. She was the daughter of Matthew Riley and Hannah Gledhill. Elizabeth Riley was baptized on 20 September 1829 at Batley.¹

In the census of 30 March 1851 she was listed as as a woollen piecer the niece of William Gledhill.²

     John Riley was born circa 1839. He was the son of Matthew Riley and Hannah Gledhill. In the census of 6 June 1841 he was listed as the son of Matthew Riley at Knottingley Well, Batley.¹
In the census of 30 March 1851 he was listed as as a woollen piecer the nephew of William Gledhill.²

     John Wailes was born circa 1825. He married Mary Ann Newsome, daughter of Richard Newsome and Maria (?), in 1846.¹
In the census of 30 March 1851 he was listed as the head of household at Havercroft, Batley, as a cloth dresser and dealer in pottery.²
John Wailes and his brothers-in-law Richard Logan Newsome and John Dixon Newsome are said to have been the builders of Greenhill Mill.

     Joseph Newsome Wailes was born circa 1847. He was the son of John Wailes and Mary Ann Newsome. In the census of 30 March 1851 he was listed as the son of John Wailes at Havercroft, Batley.¹

     Elizabeth (?) was born circa 1843 at Holmfirth. She married John Hall Senior, son of Squire Senior and Frances Hall.
In the census of 3 April 1881 Elizabeth Senior was listed at Purlwell Lane, Batley, as wife of John Hall Senior.¹
In the census of 5 April 1891 Elizabeth Senior was listed at 34 Purlwell Lane, Batley, as wife of John Hall Senior.²

     Frank Senior was born in 1874. He was the son of John Hall Senior and Elizabeth (?). In the census of 3 April 1881 he was listed as the son of John Hall Senior at Purlwell Lane, Batley.¹
In the census of 5 April 1891 he was listed as a woollen yarn piecer the son of John Hall Senior at 34 Purlwell Lane, Batley.²

     Squire Senior was born in 1881. He was the son of John Hall Senior and Elizabeth (?). In the census of 3 April 1881 he was listed as aged 1 week the son of John Hall Senior at Purlwell Lane, Batley.¹
In the census of 5 April 1891 he was listed as a scholar the son of John Hall Senior at 34 Purlwell Lane, Batley.²
In 1909Squire Senior emigrated to America, sailing on the SS Campania from Liverpool and arriving in New York on the 29th May. He gave his next of kin's name as his brother Frank Senior of 38 Purlwell Lane, Batley. He gave his destination as Fort Plain, where his uncle by marriage, Chales Bailey, long resident in Little Falls, now had a business.³ He married Adelaide (?).
In 1920 Squire and Adelaide (?) moved to Sacramento, California where Adelaide was said to have relatives.⁴
Squire Senior died in March 1938 at Los Angeles.⁵

     Gertrude Senior was born in 1885. She was the daughter of John Hall Senior and Elizabeth (?). In the census of 5 April 1891 she was listed as a scholar the daughter of John Hall Senior at 34 Purlwell Lane, Batley.¹

     Fanny Ibberson was born in 1778. She was the daughter of William Ibberson and Sarah Senior. Fanny Ibberson was baptized on 3 June 1778 at Batley.¹

     Thomas Mitchell was born circa 1873. He was the son of Samuel Mitchell and Ellen Bailey. In the census of 3 April 1881 he was listed as a scholar the son of Samuel Mitchell at Mill St West, Thornhill.¹

     George Simpson married Emily Mitchell, daughter of Samuel Mitchell and Ellen Bailey, in 1877.¹
George Simpson was a guest when his parents-in-law Samuel Mitchell and Ellen Mitchell celebrated their Silver Wedding with a large reception in Hanging Heaton.²
