     Samuel Newsome was born in 1673 at Heckmondwilke. He was the son of Alvera Newsome and Mary Armitage. Samuel Newsome was baptized on 28 December 1673 at Birstall.¹
He married Phobie Allott, daughter of John Allott and Mary Booth, on 13 October 1697 at Birstall.

He was the son of Samuel Newsome and Phobie Allott. Alvera Newsome married Mary Lee on 23 January 1723.

     Alice Scholefield married John Taylor, son of Thomas Taylor and Grace Foxcroft, circa 1720 marriage settlement under which her father gave her £400 is dated 17th august 1720.¹
