     Alderwin Colbeck was born in 1879. He was the son of George William Colbeck and Mary Ann Fox. In the census of 3 April 1881 he was listed as aged 1 the son of George William Colbeck at Colbeck Road, Gomersal.¹

     William Haigh Thomson married Lois Hall, daughter of Walter Hall and Matilda Colbeck, on 14 May 1894 at St. George's Church, Leeds.¹

     Albert Parker was born circa 1862. He married Cassandra Colbeck, daughter of Isaac Colbeck and Elizabeth Ineson.

     Gönen Piyale was born on 1 January 1934 at Izmir, Turkey.¹ She was the daughter of Tahsin Piyale. Gönen Piyale married Douglas Sheard, son of George Sheard and Marjorie Senogles, on 2 May 1957 at Istanbul The couple were to have three children.¹
Gönen Piyale died on 2 March 2005 at Sherbrooke, Quebec, at age 71.¹

     Samuel Preston was born in 1815. He was the son of Joseph Preston and Jane Speight. Samuel Preston was baptized on 17 September 1815 at Batley.^1,2
He married Hannah Gomersall, daughter of William Gomersall and Esther Bruce, on 12 November 1846 at Rehoboth Chapel independents, Dewsbury Union, Both made their marks. Samuel was listed as a joiner of Clerk Green; son of Joseph, also a joiner. Witnesses wereJohn Newsome and John Webster.¹
In 1856 Samuel Preston and Joseph Preston emigrated to Australiataking an unasisted passage on the "Maggie Miller"with his brother.¹ Samuel Preston died circa 1865; He is presumed to have died in Australia.¹

     Joseph Preston was born circa 1849 at Batley.
He was the son of Samuel Preston and Hannah Gomersall. Joseph Preston and her son Hannah emigrated in 1858 to Australia to join Samuel, taking an assisted passage on the ship "Caractacus."¹

     Esther Jane Preston was born in 1862 at Victoria, Australia. She was the daughter of Samuel Preston and Hannah Gomersall. In the census of 5 April 1891 she was listed as a wool cloth weaver the daughter of Hannah Sheard at 19a Wellington St, Batley.¹
