     Michael James Brooke was born circa 1838. He was the son of William Brooke and Sarah Sheard. In the census of 6 June 1841 he was listed as aged 2 the son of William Brooke at Havercroft, Batley.¹
Michael James Brooke died in 1842. He was buried on 20 July 1842.²

     Joseph Cowling witnessed the marriage of Joshua Stubley and Mary Blackburn on 28 April 1793 at Batley.¹

     Mary (?) was born circa 1831. She married James Willans Booth, son of James Booth and Elizabeth Willans.¹
In the census of 7 April 1861 Mary Booth was listed at Carlinghow Road, Batley, as wife of James Willans Booth.²

      Mary Elizabeth Booth was also known as Polly perhaps to distinguish her from half sister, also Mary Elizabeth.² She was born circa 1856 at Batley.¹ She was the daughter of James Willans Booth and Mary (?).¹ In the census of 7 April 1861 she was listed as aged 4 the daughter of James Willans Booth at Carlinghow Road, Batley.³
In the census of 2 April 1871 she was listed as a weaver aged 14 the daughter of James Willans Booth at Beck Lane, Batley.⁴

     John W Booth was born circa 1852 at Batley. He was the son of James Willans Booth and Mary (?). In the census of 7 April 1861 he was listed as a scholar aged 8 the son of James Willans Booth at Carlinghow Road, Batley.¹
John W Booth married Jane (?).
In the census of 3 April 1881 he was listed as the head of household at Beck Lane, Batley, as a stonemason, living next door to his father.²

     Charles Chadwick was born circa 1812 at Morley.¹ He was the son of Thomas Chadwick and Hannah Jackson. Charles Chadwick was baptized on 25 October 1812 at Batley.¹

     Ann Chadwick was born on 5 August 1798 at Morley.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Chadwick and Hannah Jackson. Ann Chadwick was baptized on 9 September 1798 at Batley.¹

     James Chadwick was born on 17 March 1800 at Morley.¹ He was the son of Thomas Chadwick and Hannah Jackson.¹ James Chadwick married Sarah Scholefield on 13 December 1829 at Bradford.²
In the census of 6 June 1841 he was listed as the head of household at Howden Clough, Batley, as a farmer.
James Chadwick died in 1855. He was buried on 24 May 1855 at Batley ; of Howley Mill.¹

     William Chadwick was born on 7 April 1802 at Batley.¹ He was the son of Thomas Chadwick and Hannah Jackson. William Chadwick was baptized on 16 May 1802 at Batley.¹
In the census of 30 March 1851 he was listed as the head of household at Scotchman Lane, Morley, as a widower, a farmer.

     Joseph Chadwick was born in 1815 at Morley. He was the son of Thomas Chadwick and Hannah Jackson. Joseph Chadwick was baptized on 1 October 1815 at Batley.¹
In the census of 6 June 1841 he was listed as an ag lab the son of Thomas Chadwick at Howley, Morley.²

     Susannah Chadwick was born in 1819 at Morley. She was the daughter of Thomas Chadwick and Hannah Jackson. Susannah Chadwick was baptized on 17 September 1819 at Batley.¹
She died in 1821. She was buried on 18 November 1821 at Batley ; of Morley, aged 2.¹

     Ann Thompson was born on 22 March 1792.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Thompson and Susanna Chadwick.¹ Ann Thompson was baptized on 20 April 1792 at Batley.¹
She married Thomas Wilby, son of Peter Wilby and Alice Ingham, on 18 September 1815 at Batley witnesses were Thomas Thompson and Samuel Sharp.¹
In the census of 6 June 1841 Ann Wilby was listed as wife of Thomas Wilby.²
In the census of 30 March 1851 Ann Wilby was listed at Carlinghow, Batley, as wife of Thomas Wilby.³
In the census of 7 April 1861 Ann Wilby was listed at Carlinghow Road, Batley, as wife of Thomas Wilby.⁴
Ann Wilby died on 20 October 1876 at age 84.

     Mary Thompson was born on 17 July 1806.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Thompson and Susanna Chadwick.¹ Mary Thompson was baptized on 17 September 1806 at Batley.¹

     Sarah Thompson was born on 7 March 1791.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Thompson and Susanna Chadwick.¹ Sarah Thompson was baptized on 27 March 1791 at Batley.¹
She married Joseph Wharton, son of Christopher Wharton and Mary Healey, on 26 May 1811 at Batley witnesses were Stephen Chappell and Jeremiah Chadwick.¹
In the census of 6 June 1841 she was listed as the head of household at Batley as a schoolmistress. Also present is Joseph Wharton aged 11 months.²
In the census of 30 March 1851 she was listed as the head of household at Carlinghow, Batley, as a widow, domestic duties.³
In the census of 7 April 1861 she was listed as the head of household at Carlinghow Road, Batley, as a widow.
Sarah Thompson died in 1865. She was buried on 12 February 1865 at Batley ; aged 73.¹

     Elizabeth Ineson was born on 30 March 1778.¹ She was the daughter of Benjamin Ineson and Mary Eastwood.¹ Elizabeth Ineson was baptized on 17 May 1778 at Parish Church, Batley.¹

     Ralph Eastwood named in Batley registers (Dade register).¹

     Mark Terry was born in 1789. He married Elizabeth Ineson on 11 February 1813 at Parish Church, Batley.¹
Mark Terry appeared with other Batley men including my ggg-grandfather William Blackburnon the census of 6 June 1841 as a prisoner in York Castle, then serving as a debtors gaol
; a prisoner for debt, along with others I believe to be from Batley.² In the census of 30 March 1851 he was listed as the head of household at Clerk Green, Batley, as a clothier,weaver, a widower.³
Mark Terry died in 1858. He was buried on 4 April 1858 ; aged 69.¹

     Elizabeth Ineson married Mark Terry on 11 February 1813 at Parish Church, Batley.¹
Elizabeth Terry died on 14 July 1835. She was buried on 19 July 1835 ; aged 44.¹

     Marcus Fox was born on 11 June 1927 at Batley. He was the son of Alfred Hirst Fox. Between 1956 and 1963 Marcus Fox served on Dewsbury Council.
In 1959 Marcus Fox contested the Dewsbury Parliamentary seat.
In 1966 Marcus Fox contested the seat for Huddersfiled West.
Between 1970 and 1997 Marcus Fox was MP for Shipley.
He received a knighthood in 1986. He died on 16 February 2002 at age 74.

     Harry Farrar was born circa 1877. He was the son of Abraham Illingworth Farrar and Mary Ellen Wood.

     Arthur W Farrar was born circa 1876. He was the son of Abraham Illingworth Farrar and Mary Ellen Wood.

     Benjamin Farrar was born circa 1853. He was the son of Frederick Farrar and Ellen Illingworth. In the census of 2 April 1871 he was listed as a spinner the son of Frederick Farrar at Wood Well, Batley.¹

     Michael Sheard Fox was born on 17 May 1842.¹ He was the son of David Fox and Margaret Sheard. Michael Sheard Fox was baptized in July 1842.¹
In the census of 30 March 1851 he was listed as a scholar the son of David Fox at 62 Great George Street, Bermondsey, London.²
In the census of 7 April 1861 he was listed as a shoddy manufacturer's clerk the brother of Hortensi Fox.³
Michael Sheard Fox married Letitia Balmforth, daughter of Thomas Hirst Balmforth and Louisa Wilson, in 1869.
In the census of 2 April 1871 he was listed as the head of household at Bradford Road, Batley, as a rag merchant.⁴
Michael Sheard Fox died in 1874; aged 32.⁵
