     Hannah Buckley was born circa 1840 at Batley. She was the daughter of Benjamin Buckley and Mary Blakeley. In the census of 30 March 1851 she was listed as a rag picker the daughter of Benjamin Buckley at Havercroft North side, Batley.¹

     George Buckley was born circa 1846 at Batley. He was the son of Benjamin Buckley and Mary Blakeley. In the census of 7 April 1861 he was listed as a cloth finisher aged 14 the nephew of Sarah Blakeley.¹

     James Booth married Elizabeth Willans, daughter of John Willans and Mary King, on 17 September 1817 at Birstall.¹
In the census of 6 June 1841 he was listed as the head of household at Batley as a stonemason.²

     Elizabeth Willans was born on 14 March 1797.¹ She was the daughter of John Willans and Mary King. Elizabeth Willans was baptized on 12 April 1797 at Batley.¹
She married James Booth on 17 September 1817 at Birstall.²

     Walter Arthur Bishop was born circa 1859. He, a publican, married Sarah Lister, daughter of Abraham Lister and Ellen Barber, on 24 January 1882 at Batley.¹

     John Richard Lister was born. He is the son of John Richard Lister and Sarah Ann Speight.

     John Ramsden, described as John Ramsden the younger, married Alice Shepley, daughter of Thomas Shepley and Jane Hepworth, on 5 December 1608 at Mirfield.¹

     Mary Sutcliffe Candelet was born circa 1824 at Manchester. She married Jacob Burnley, son of John Burnley and Elizabeth Blakeley, in 1845.¹

     George Waites was born circa 1842. He was the son of Luke Waites and Grace Hopkinson Mortimer. In the census of 7 April 1861 he was listed as an overlooker in a worsted mill the son of Luke Waites at Birkenshaw Bottoms, Gomersal.¹

     Louisa Waites was born circa 1845. She was the daughter of Luke Waites and Grace Hopkinson Mortimer. In the census of 7 April 1861 she was listed as a worsted weaver the daughter of Luke Waites at Birkenshaw Bottoms, Gomersal.¹

     Emily Waites was born circa 1848. She was the daughter of Luke Waites and Grace Hopkinson Mortimer. In the census of 7 April 1861 she was listed as aged 12 the daughter of Luke Waites at Birkenshaw Bottoms, Gomersal.¹

     Sabina Waites was born circa 1853. She was the daughter of Luke Waites and Grace Hopkinson Mortimer. In the census of 7 April 1861 she was listed as aged 7 the daughter of Luke Waites at Birkenshaw Bottoms, Gomersal.¹

     Mary Margaret Gaunt married Donald Edward Roberts, son of Neriah Roberts and Clara Blackburn, in 1911 at N. Bierley Reg District.^1,2

     Allison Swales was born in 1891 at Farsley. He was the son of Thomas Swales and Esther Ingham. Allison Swales married Doris May Roberts, daughter of Neriah Roberts and Clara Blackburn, in 1924 at Scarborough.^1,2

     Mark Oldroyd married Rachel Fox, daughter of Marmaduke Fox and Sarah Fox, on 20 January 1823 at Dewsbury.¹
Founder of the firm of M Oldroyd and sons, Dewsbury Mark Oldroyd was said to have retired in in 1859 and the firm was initially carried on by his elder sons George and John.
He died in December 1875; aged 77.

     Rachel Fox was born in 1798. She was the daughter of Marmaduke Fox and Sarah Fox. Rachel Fox was baptized on 3 October 1798 at Dewsbury.¹
She married Mark Oldroyd on 20 January 1823 at Dewsbury.¹

     George Eayrs was born in 1864. He was the officiating Minister. He was the author of several books on Methodism, including "A History of Zion Church, Batley, and the Churches of the United Methodist Batley Circuit" published in 1909 This makes mention of the eighteenth century history of Methoodism in the district, of visits by Wesley himself and the work of his followers including John Nelson of Birstall, Mostly, though, it is an account of the origins of these Churches themselves, with accounts of some of those local people who were their stalwarts.¹ He died in 1926.

     Joseph Farrar Talbot was born on 7 April 1851. He was the son of Noah Talbot and Sarah Fell. Joseph Farrar Talbot was baptized on 8 June 1851 at Batley.¹
