     Philip Crawshaw was born circa 1771; from age at death. He married Susanna Senior, daughter of Squire Senior, on 6 September 1795 at Dewsbury Philip is described as a carrier.¹
In 1834 Philip Crawshaw was listed as the landlord of the "Crown and Cushion" in the Market Place at Dewsbury.²
In the census of 6 June 1841 he was listed as the head of household at Long Causeway, Dewsbury, as independent.³
He died on 26 October 1843; described as for many years landlord of the "Crown and Cushion" Dewsbury.⁴
