     Harriet Ann Selina Sheard was born circa 1851. She was the daughter of Hyrcanus Sheard and Ann Smith.
In the census of 7 April 1861 se was listed as as a scholar the granddaughter of Elizabeth Sheard.¹ Harriet Ann Selina Sheard married George Sharp in 1870.²
In the census of 2 April 1871 she was listed as a woollen weaver the daughter of Ann Sheard at Hume St, Batley.³

     Hannah Elizabeth Sheard was born circa 1853. She was the daughter of Hyrcanus Sheard and Ann Smith.

     William Heppleston was born in 1815. He was the son of Peter Heppleston and Elizabeth Elyard. William Heppleston was baptized on 26 March 1815 at Batley.¹

     Martha Heppleston name as Heptonstall at baptism and marriage but earlier siblings as Heppleston, father Peter, carpenter in both cases.

She married Abraham Sheard, son of Jonas Sheard and Eleanor Hey, on 30 August 1841 at Wakefield.

     Elizabeth Richardson was born circa 1785. She married William Colbeck, son of Henry Colbeck and Millicent Nowell, on 27 March 1806 at Drypool.¹
In the census of 6 June 1841 Elizabeth Colbeck was listed at Havercroft, Batley, as wife of William Colbeck.²
In the census of 30 March 1851 she was listed as the head of household at Havercroft, Batley, as a widow aged 65, a grocer.³

     Henry Brearley was born on 28 May 1806. He was the son of Robert Brearley and Dorothy Hall. Henry Brearley was baptized on 22 June 1806 at Batley.
He married Hannah Sheard, daughter of Michael Sheard and Sarah Lister, on 31 May 1827 at Batley witnesses were Mary Sheard and Samuel Harrison.¹
In the census of 6 June 1841 he was listed as the head of household at Batley as a woollen manufacturer. There was a female servant Selina Asquith aged 15.²
In the census of 30 March 1851 he was listed as the head of household at Havercroft, Batley, as a clothier, master employing 2 men and 1 of 6 employing 27 men, 2 boys.³
In the census of D L Henry Brearley was listed at Wellington Street, Batley, as a rag dealer and Registrar of Births and Deaths.⁴
In the census of 2 April 1871 he was listed as the head of household at Wellington Street, Batley, a widower aged 64, Registrar of Births and Deaths.⁵ He married Mary (?) between 1871 and 1881.

Henry Brearley died in 1883. He was buried on 25 August 1883 at the Cemetery, Batley.⁷ Henry Brearley's grave was No A144 on the unconsecrated side.⁷

     Robert Brearley was born on 30 January 1808 at Batley. He was the son of Robert Brearley and Dorothy Hall. Robert Brearley was baptized on 6 March 1808 at Batley.
He married Elizabeth Burnill on 11 June 1832 at Rothwell.

Robert Brearley employed John Blackburn as his jinny spinner from 1 August 1840 at the Old Craft Mill, Clerk Green.
In the census of 6 June 1841 he was listed as the head of household at Clerk Geen, Batley, as a woollen manufacturer. Jane Burnhill is listed as a female servant and seems likely to be a relative of his wife.¹
Robert Brearley found work for John Blackburn at the time of the Boiler-tapping Riots.²
In the census of 30 March 1851 he was listed as the head of household at Clerk Green, Batley, as a woollen cloth manufacturer in firm of 8 employing 40 men, 8 women, 20 boys and 20 girls.³

Business seems to have flourished at this time, and according to T. C. Taylor it was in 1855 that Robert left Hall Brearley and Co. to found Queen Street Mill. According to Willans
"-it was well known he took the lead at that time and was the most successful manufacturer in Batley."^4,5
In the census of 7 April 1861 he was listed as the head of household at Queen Street, Batley, as a woollen manufacturer, employs 200 hands.⁶
He died on 21 October 1866 at Batley at age 58.⁷ He was buried on 24 October 1866 at Batley. He's family erected a Chapel in his memory at Cross Bank, designed by Michael Sheard and Walter Hanstock and opened on the 21st March 1871; Cross Bank Wesleyan Chapel 1871. This building, now demolished, was erected by the family of Robert Brearley, and the style is said to have been broad Italian, with coloured columns of red mansfield and local stone and polished granite columns on the west front.⁸

     George Brearley was born on 11 February 1799. He was the son of Robert Brearley and Dorothy Hall. George Brearley was baptized on 3 March 1799 at Batley.¹
He died in 1800. He was buried on 1 September 1800 at Batley.¹

     John Brearley was born on 14 June 1803. He was the son of Robert Brearley and Dorothy Hall. John Brearley was baptized on 25 July 1803 at Batley.

Dan Brearley died on 5 July 1854.⁴ He was buried on 9 July 1854 at Batley ; aged 39.¹
