     Ann Colbeck was born in 1767. She was the daughter of John Colbeck and Mary Walker. Ann Colbeck was baptized on 22 March 1767 at Batley.¹
She married David Stubley, son of Mark Stubley and Sally Pyrah, on 11 January 1786 at Batley.¹
In the census of 6 June 1841 Nancy Stubley was listed at Purlwell, Batley, as wife of David Stubley.²
Ann Colbeck was also known as Nancy Stubley. She died in 1849. She was buried on 13 October 1849 at Batley.

     John Walker married Abigail Stubley, daughter of Mark Stubley and Sally Pyrah, on 2 June 1791 at Parish Church, Batley, witnesses John North, James Walker.¹

     Sarah Walker was born on 17 September 1792. She was the daughter of John Walker and Abigail Stubley. Sarah Walker was baptized on 20 August 1794 at Batley.¹

     Frances Heaton was the daughter of Joseph Heaton. Frances Heaton married Nathaniel Stubley, son of Mark Stubley and Sally Pyrah, on 10 January 1803 at Batley witnesses William Lister, John Chadwick.¹
In the census of 6 June 1841 Frances Stubley was listed at Havercroft, Batley, as wife of Nathaniel Stubley.²

     Mary Stubley was born on 3 June 1804. She was the daughter of Nathaniel Stubley and Frances Heaton. Mary Stubley was baptized on 18 September 1804 at Batley.

     George Stubley was born on 25 March 1806.¹ He was the son of Nathaniel Stubley and Frances Heaton. George Stubley was baptized on 13 May 1806 at Batley.¹
He was listed in the census of 1841 at Havercroft, Batley, Woollen weaver.² In the census of 6 June 1841 he was listed as as a woollen spinner the son of Nathaniel Stubley at Havercroft, Batley.³

     Christopher Stubley was born on 14 January 1808. He was the son of Nathaniel Stubley and Frances Heaton. Christopher Stubley was baptized on 13 March 1808 at Parish Church, Batley.¹
He married Mary Talbot, daughter of James Talbot and Mary Sunderland, on 31 May 1830 at Batley.¹
In the census of 6 June 1841 he was listed as the head of household at Havercroft Lane End, Batley, as a clothier.²
Christopher Stubley and his wife may have died between 1841 and 1851 as by the latter date his children are living with relatives, but Christopher could be the widower aged 53 living at Spa Hill in 1851. He died in 1866. He was buried on 7 January 1866 at Batley.^3,1

     Sally Stubley was born on 4 June 1810. She was the daughter of Nathaniel Stubley and Frances Heaton. Sally Stubley was baptized on 18 September 1810 at Batley.¹

     Martha Stubley was born in 1813. She was the daughter of Nathaniel Stubley and Frances Heaton. Martha Stubley was baptized on 21 February 1813 at Parish Church, Batley.¹
She married Jacob Lister, son of George Lister and Barbara Walker, on 6 September 1830 at Tong.
In the census of 30 March 1851 Martha Stubley was listed at North side Commercial St, Havercroft, Batley, as wife of Jacob Lister.²
Martha Stubley died in 1852. She was buried on 18 November 1852 at Batley.¹

     Elizabeth Stubley was born in 1785. She was the daughter of Mark Stubley and Sally Pyrah. Elizabeth Stubley was baptized on 9 September 1785 at Parish Church, Batley.¹
She died in 1786. She was buried on 16 October 1786.¹

     Mary Blakeley was born on 26 April 1806. She was the daughter of Samuel Blakeley and Elizabeth Stubley. Mary Blakeley was baptized on 25 May 1806 at Batley.

     John Blakeley was born on 20 April 1807. He was the son of Samuel Blakeley and Elizabeth Stubley. John Blakeley was baptized on 7 June 1807 at Batley.
He married Mary Sheard, daughter of George Sheard and Elizabeth Firth, on 23 February 1829 at Batley.¹
In the census of 6 June 1841 he was listed as the head of household at New Batley, Batley, as a woollen spinner.²

     Grace Blakeley was born on 4 October 1809. She was the daughter of Samuel Blakeley and Elizabeth Stubley. Grace Blakeley was baptized on 22 October 1809 at Batley.

     William Blakeley was born on 6 December 1811. He was the son of Samuel Blakeley and Elizabeth Stubley. William Blakeley was baptized on 25 December 1811 at Batley.¹
In the census of 30 March 1851 he was listed as the head of household at J Ward's Hill, Batley, as a widower, a Woollen Flock Merchant.²

     Hannah Blakeley was born in 1814. She was the daughter of Samuel Blakeley and Elizabeth Stubley. Hannah Blakeley was baptized on 27 February 1814 at Batley.
She married John Smith on 28 December 1835 at Batley witnesses W Ineson and John Chadwick.¹

     Benjamin Blakeley was born in 1816. He was the son of Samuel Blakeley and Elizabeth Stubley. Benjamin Blakeley was baptized on 19 September 1816 at Batley.
He married Martha Smith on 21 August 1836 at Batley.¹
He was listed in the census of 1841 at Havercroft, Batley, cloth dresser.² In the census of 30 March 1851 he was listed as the head of household at Havercroft N side Commercial St, Batley, as a cloth tenter.³
He was listed in the census of 7 April 1861 at Batley tailor & woollen draper employing 2 men.⁴
Benjamin Blakeley died on 3 January 1864.

     Caroline Stubley Blakeley was born in 1822. She was the daughter of Samuel Blakeley and Elizabeth Stubley. Caroline Stubley Blakeley was baptized on 25 December 1822 at Batley.
In the census of 6 June 1841 she was listed as as a woollen rag picker the daughter of Samuel Blakeley at Havercroft, Batley.¹

     Michael Blakeley was born in 1825. He was the son of Samuel Blakeley and Elizabeth Stubley. Michael Blakeley was baptized on 18 September 1825 at Batley.
In the census of 6 June 1841 he was listed as a woollen rag picker the son of Samuel Blakeley at Havercroft, Batley.¹
Michael Blakeley appeared as a rag grinder on the census of 30 March 1851 living with his brother William Blakeley at J Ward's Hill, Batley.² Michael Blakeley married Elizabeth (?).

     Richard Smith was born on 27 November 1776 at Batley. He was the son of George Smith and Rachel Chappel. Richard Smith was baptized on 12 January 1777 at Batley.
He married Grace Hall, daughter of Thomas Hall and Frances Allott, on 25 July 1798 at Batley witnessed by Robert Brierley and John Chadwick.¹
In 1829 Richard Smith was listed as a flushing and drugget manufacturer at Clerk Green.²

He made a will on 15 August 1837 in which he bequeathed to his dear wife Grace and elder sons Joseph and John all his parts, shares and interest in Purlwell Mill, with the land, warehouses and outbuildings belonging thereto. The mill was described as being in the occupation of Messrs Hall, Hirst & Co and others or their undertenants. Any debts having being settled the income was to go to Grace for life, then these shares were to be sold and the proceeds divided among his children. The rest of his estate was to go to Grace absolutely.Witnesses were Thomas Dean, Samuel Strafford and Henry Hall.³
He died on 16 August 1837 at Batley. He was buried on 18 August 1837.¹
His gravestone in Batley churchyard mentions:-

It is in poor condition, but perhaps for that reason worth recording.⁴

     Grace Hall was born on 15 October 1780 at Batley. She was the daughter of Thomas Hall and Frances Allott. Grace Hall was baptized on 12 November 1780 at Batley.¹
She married Richard Smith, son of George Smith and Rachel Chappel, on 25 July 1798 at Batley witnessed by Robert Brierley and John Chadwick.¹
In 1835 Grace Smith inherited from her father two freehold cottages at Clerk Green, with a frontstead and pigcote, occupied in 1832 by George Sheard and James Fozard. She was, however, to pay to the executors the sum of £20.
In the census of 6 June 1841 she, widowed since 1837, was listed as the head of household at Clerk Green, Batley, as a woollen labourer.²
She made a will on 7 July 1849 at which time she described herself as in moderately good health. Her eldest son Joseph was to have her clock, whilst grandaughter Elizabeth Stubley was to have her bedstead and bedding. The other furniture was to be shared between her children. Should any of her children wish to buy the freehold houses she owned they were to have the first option, but at a fair valuation, otherwise they were to be auctioned , the proceeds to be divided between her children.

In the census of 30 March 1851 she was listed as the head of household at Clerk Green, Batley, an Annuitant, with grandaughter Elizabeth Stubley living with her, and with Lydia Parr, a general servant, aged 12.³
On 8 July 1851 Grace made a codicil to her will, bequeathing her feather bed to her son William on condition that he give a flock bed to her granddaugher Elizabeth in lieu. Elizabeth was to receive the curtains from her bedstead, and the estate was to provide her with a good suit of black dress and handsome silk "visit."
Grace Smith died on 13 July 1851 at Clerk Green, Batley, at age 70.
She was buried on 15 July 1851 at Batley.¹

     Joseph Smith was born on 30 January 1800. He was the son of Richard Smith and Grace Hall. Joseph Smith was baptized on 23 February 1800 at Batley.¹
He married Maria Blakeley, daughter of Abraham Blakeley and Martha Colbeck, on 6 June 1819 at Batley witnessed by John Blakeley, Jo.Chadwick. He writes, she makes her mark.¹
In the census of 6 June 1841 he was listed as the head of household at Havercroft, Batley, a woollen carder.²
Grace Smith's will of 1849 stated that her clock was to go to Joseph, her eldest son.
In the census of 30 March 1851 he was listed as the head of household at Commercial St, Batley, as a spinner (woollen).³
In the census of 7 April 1861 he was listed as the head of household at New Street, Batley, a woollen spinner.⁴

     Rachel Smith was born on 17 October 1802. She was the daughter of Richard Smith and Grace Hall. Rachel Smith was baptized on 14 November 1802 at Batley.
She married John Spurr on 17 September 1824 at Batley witnesses Mark Pyrah and Thomas Parr.¹
In the census of 6 June 1841 Rachel Spurr was listed at Clerk Green, Batley, as wife of John Spurr.²
