     James Talbot Wailes was born in 1847. He was the son of Noah Wailes and Hannah Talbot. James Talbot Wailes was baptized on 19 September 1847 at Batley as son of Noah and Hannah Talbot. Noah listed as an engineer.¹
In the census of 30 March 1851 he was listed as a scholar the son of Noah Wailes at Havercoft, Batley.²
In the census of 7 April 1861 he was listed as a rag sorter the son of Noah Wailes at Commercial St, Batley.³
James Talbot Wailes married Eliza Spark on 15 February 1869 at Scarborough.^4,5
In the census of 2 April 1871 he was listed as the head of household at Talbot Street, Batley, as a rag merchant. Also present is Frances Wilson, a farmer's wife, also from Scarborough like James's wife, and I think this reads sister, presumably of Eliza.⁶

     John William Wailes was born in 1849.¹ He was the son of Noah Wailes and Hannah Talbot. In the census of 30 March 1851 he was listed as the son of Noah Wailes at Havercoft, Batley.²

John William Wailes married Mary Newsome, daughter of John Newsome, in 1871.⁴

     Jane Taylor Wailes was born in 1854.¹ She was the daughter of Noah Wailes and Hannah Talbot. In the census of 7 April 1861 she was listed as a scholar the daughter of Noah Wailes at Commercial St, Batley.²

     Mary Newsome was born circa 1850 at Dewsbury. She was the daughter of John Newsome. Mary Newsome married John William Wailes, son of Noah Wailes and Hannah Talbot, in 1871.¹

     Rachel Hannah Wailes was born in 1851. She was the daughter of Noah Wailes and Hannah Talbot. In the census of 7 April 1861 she was listed as a scholar the daughter of Noah Wailes at Commercial St, Batley.¹

     Ann Green was born circa 1835 at Skelmanthorpe. She was the daughter of Charles Green and Tabitha Senior. In the census of 30 March 1851 she was listed as as a warper aged 19 the sister of Emma Green.¹

     Lucy Green was born circa 1847 at Scisset. She was the daughter of Emma Green. In the census of 30 March 1851 she was listed as aged 3 the daughter of Emma Green at Scisset.¹

     Matilda Green was born circa 1849 at Scisset. She was the daughter of Emma Green. In the census of 30 March 1851 she was listed as aged 1 the daughter of Emma Green at Scisset.¹

     Elihu Armitage was born circa 1815 at Skelmanthorpe. He married Emma Green, daughter of Charles Green and Tabitha Senior, on 23 December 1858 at St Augustine, Scissett.^1,2
In the census of 7 April 1861 he was listed as the head of household as a hand loom fancy weaver aged 46.³

     Dick Green was born circa 1852 at Skelmanthorpe. He was the son of Emma Green. In the census of 7 April 1861 he was listed as as a scholar aged 8 the step-son of Elihu Armitage.¹

     Christiana Minerva Armitage was born on 25 December 1859 at Skelmanthorpe.¹ She was the daughter of Elihu Armitage and Emma Green. In the census of 7 April 1861 she was listed as aged 1 the daughter of Elihu Armitage.²

     Benjamin Purdy married Susanna Fox, daughter of Joseph Fox, on 8 June 1767 at Leeds.¹
Benjamin Purdy was buried on 9 July 1774 at Holbeck, Leeds.¹

     Joseph Purdy was born in 1767. He was the son of Benjamin Purdy and Susanna Fox. Joseph Purdy was baptized on 8 December 1767 at Beeston.¹

     John Ineson was born on 20 May 1782.¹ He was the son of Benjamin Ineson and Susanna Fox.¹ John Ineson was baptized on 28 July 1782 at Batley as son of Benjamin son of James by Susanna his wife daughter of Joseph Fox.^1,2

     Rachel Heaton married John Colbeck, son of John Colbeck and Alice Ridlesden, on 30 August 1802 at Dewsbury.¹

She married Clifford Sheard, son of Benjamin Sheard and Annie Talbot, on 4 March 1918 at St. Wilfrid's Church, Harrogate, Clifford is described as Lieutenant in the Indian Cavalry.³

     Herbert W Day was born circa 1865 at Birstall. He was the son of Richard Day.
