     Mary Wilson was born on 25 February 1809. She was the daughter of Daniel Wilson and Letitia Fox. Mary Wilson was baptized on 2 April 1809 at Batley.¹
She married George Sheard, son of Michael Sheard and Sarah Lister, on 25 July 1831 at Batley He wrote his name, she made her mark. Witnesses were Jeremiah Chadwick and Joseph Clarkson.¹
Mary Sheard was listed on the census of 6 June 1841 at Hick Lane, Batley, as wife of George Sheard.²
In the census of 30 March 1851 Mary Sheard was listed at Commercial St. North side, Batley, as wife of George Sheard.³
In the census of 7 April 1861 she was listed as the head of household at Hick Lane, Batley, as a widow aged 52, a proprietor of houses.⁴
Mary Sheard married Abraham Blakeley, son of John Blakeley and Mary Blackburn, in 1861.⁵
Mary's identification as daughter of Daniel based on her baptism corresponding to her age in 1851 and 1861, but later appears confirmed by identities of a nephew and niece living with her in 1861.
In the census of 2 April 1871 Mary Blakeley was listed at Hick Lane, Batley, as wife of Abraham Blakeley.⁶
In the census of 3 April 1881 she was listed as aged 74, the aunt of John Thomas Hepworth at Field Hill, Batley.⁷
Mary Blakeley died on 7 October 1889 at age 80.⁸
Her estate was probated to Benjamin Sheard, Batley, Woollen manufacturer, nephew.⁸

     Hannah Beecroft was born circa 1830. She was the daughter of George Sheard. Hannah Beecroft was baptized on 13 March 1831 at Batley as daughter of Nancy Beecroft, singlewoman.¹
As of 1851, Hannah Beecroft was also known as Hannah Sheard.
In the census of 30 March 1851 she was listed as aged 20 the daughter of George Sheard at Commercial St. North side, Batley.²

Hannah Beecroft married Henry Woodhouse on 4 September 1851 at Batley.^3,4
In the census of 7 April 1861 Hannah Beecroft was listed at 8 Marina(?) Crescent, Great Crosby, Lancashire, as wife of Henry Woodhouse.⁵

     Rachael Sheard was born on 11 September 1833. She was the daughter of Benjamin Sheard and Margaret Gledhill. Rachael Sheard was baptized on 22 September 1833 at Batley.¹
She died in 1838. She was buried on 19 March 1838 at Batley.¹

     Matilda Sheard was born on 29 September 1848. She was the daughter of Benjamin Sheard and Margaret Gledhill. Matilda Sheard was baptized on 5 November 1848 at Batley.¹
She died in 1849. She was buried on 21 January 1849 at Batley ; at 15 weeks.¹

     Michael James Sheard was born on 17 April 1846. He was the son of Benjamin Sheard and Margaret Gledhill. Michael James Sheard was baptized on 7 June 1846 at Batley.¹
He died in July 1846. He was buried on 20 July 1846 at Batley ; as an infant.¹

     He was listed in the census of 30 Mar 1851 with grandmother Elizabeth Sheard.¹
Sheard Farrar was born circa 1848 at Batley. He was the son of Benjamin Farrar and Hannah Maria Sheard.

     Charles Chappel married Hannah Ellis on 3 June 1745 at Batley.

     William Chappel was born on 9 November 1783. He was the son of Joseph Chappel and Mary Peel. William Chappel was baptized on 25 December 1783 at Batley.¹

     Joseph Farrar was born on 17 May 1764. He was the son of William Farrar and Hannah Spedding. Joseph Farrar was baptized on 23 May 1764 at Batley.
He married Ruth Drake, daughter of Jonah Drake, on 9 October 1786 at Kirkheaton.

     Ruth Drake was born in 1765. She was the daughter of Jonah Drake. Ruth Drake was baptized on 13 October 1765 at Mirfield.
She married Joseph Farrar, son of William Farrar and Hannah Spedding, on 9 October 1786 at Kirkheaton.
Ruth Farrar was buried on 26 February 1839 ; aged 73.¹

      John Singleton Binns was also known as Jack Binns. He was born in 1901.¹ He was the son of Abraham Arthur Binns and Florence Singleton. In the census of 2 April 1911 he was listed as the son of Abraham Arthur Binns at 88A Purlwell Lane, Batley.²
In the census of 1930 he was listed as a finisher, concrete the son of Abraham Arthur Binns at Haddon Township, Camden, New Jersey.³

John Singleton Binns was still a British citizen in WW2 and fought with British Forces between 1939 and 1945 My mother remembered visits from him at this time.⁴
He died on 21 April 1994 at Los Angesles, California.

     Martha Brooke was born in 1831. She was the daughter of William Brooke and Sarah Sheard. Martha Brooke was baptized on 18 September 1831 at Batley.
In the census of 6 June 1841 she was listed as the daughter of William Brooke at Havercroft, Batley.¹
In the census of 30 March 1851 she was listed as aged 19, domestic the daughter of William Brooke at Havercroft, Batley.²

     George Bennington Talbot was born in 1861.¹ He was the son of Joseph Talbot and Ann Walker. In the census of 2 April 1871 he was listed as the son of Joseph Talbot at Stanley Terrace, Batley.²

     Sarah Sheard was born on 26 September 1868. She was the daughter of Henry Sheard and Ellen Hepworth. Sarah Sheard was baptized on 24 January 1869 at Batley.¹
In the census of 2 April 1871 she was listed as aged 2 the daughter of Henry Sheard at Batley Field Hill, Batley.²
In the census of 3 April 1881 she was listed as a scholar the daughter of Henry Sheard at Field Hill Gothic Cottage, Batley.³
In the census of 5 April 1891 she was listed as a teacher, provisionally certifcated the daughter of Henry Sheard at 7 Field Hill, Batley.⁴
In the census of 31 March 1901 she was listed as a school teacher the daughter of Henry Sheard at 7 Field Hill, Batley.⁵
Sarah Sheard died on 19 March 1951 at age 82.⁶

     Michael Sheard was born on 29 December 1866. He was the son of Richard Arthur Sheard and Ellen Whitworth. Michael Sheard was baptized on 9 February 1867 at Batley.¹

     Sarah Ellen Farrar was born in 1825. She was the daughter of Benjamin Farrar and Hannah Maria Sheard. Sarah Ellen Farrar was baptized on 20 November 1825 at Batley.¹

     William Farrar was born circa 1827. He was the son of Benjamin Farrar and Hannah Maria Sheard.

     Harvious Josephus Sheard Farrar was born circa 1830 at Batley. He was the son of Benjamin Farrar and Hannah Maria Sheard. He was listed in the census of 30 March 1851 cloth weaver.¹

     Hannah Nicholson was born circa 1843. She was the daughter of John Nicholson and Martha Hollingworth.
Hannah Nicholson married James Sheard, son of James Sheard and Ann Colbeck, on 10 August 1865. At Batley He was listed as Jim Sheard. Witnesses were Frank Wilson and Edwin Sheard.¹
In the census of 2 April 1871 Hannah Sheard was listed at Commercial Street, Batley, as wife of James Sheard.²
In the census of 3 April 1881 Hannah Sheard was listed at Commercial St, Batley, as wife of James Sheard.³
In the census of 5 April 1891 she was listed as the head of household at 40 Commercial St, Batley, as a Glass and china dealer.⁴
Hannah Nicholson died on 31 July 1911; aged 67 years.⁵

     Martha Hollingworth Sheard was born on 6 May 1866.¹ She was the daughter of James Sheard and Hannah Nicholson. Martha Hollingworth Sheard was baptized on 10 June 1866 at Batley.¹

     Luther Colbeck Sheard was born on 18 July 1876.¹ He was the son of James Sheard and Hannah Nicholson. Luther Colbeck Sheard was baptized on 25 March 1877 at Batley.¹
