He was listed in the census of 3 April 1881 at Jubb's Mill Yard, Batley, as a commercial clerk. Given his place of residence it would seem likely that he worked for Jubbs.4
In 1884 William Colbeck Parker was bankrupt, described by then as a manufacturer.5

In the census of 7 April 1861 he was listed as the head of household at 5 Cloth Fair, London, as a -----broker wool merchant heading a household which includes a brother, John C Stocker, foreman over wool department, a cousin, an aunt and a domestic servant.1
He married Helen Sheard, daughter of James Sheard and Ann Colbeck, on 24 October 1861 at Batley.2,3
In the census of 28 July 1870 he was listed as as a woollen manufacturer, as was his brother John C Stocker, in the large establishment apparently headed by John Bentley at East Windsor, Hartford, Connecticut.4

He married Jane Sykes, daughter of Matthew Sykes and Sally Smithies, on 10 August 1825 at Bradford.2

Rachael Sheard appeared as a cloth weaveron the census of 2 April 1871 in the household of William Beaumont and Grace Beaumont at Mill Lane, Batley; a mill hand.3 In 1873 Rachael Sheard and Hannah Sheard were probably the two girls who went to New York from Liverpool on the "Calabria", arriving there on the first of September. The ages, 19 and 17 are correct, and although Hannah's name looks more like Honora we can't find a possible Honora Sheard. Nor can we find the sisters later in England.4
