John Burnley was born on 8 October 1803 at Batley.1 He was the son of Christopher Burnley and Mary Brook. John Burnley was baptized on 11 December 1803 at Batley.1
He married Ann Stubley, daughter of Joshua Stubley and Mary Blackburn, on 27 March 1826 at Batley witnesses J Chadwick and Joseph Webster.1
