John Oldroyd set up a factory at at Grunberg in the 1870s with his brother-in-law George Stanhope Blakeley.2 In 1874 the Dewsbury firm was formed into a limited liabilty company with John Oldroyd and Mark Oldroyd as directors. John Oldroyd died on 30 August 1895 at Germany.
