     David Colbeck was born in 1766. He was the son of Samuel Colbeck and Nancy Booth. David Colbeck was baptized on 23 March 1766.¹

     Walter Colbeck was born in 1767. He was the son of Samuel Colbeck and Nancy Booth.

     Robert Colbeck was born in 1769. He was the son of Samuel Colbeck and Nancy Booth. Robert Colbeck was baptized on 24 December 1769 at Batley.

     Joseph Colbeck was born in 1772. He was the son of Samuel Colbeck and Nancy Booth.

     Benjamin Colbeck was born in 1773. He was the son of Samuel Colbeck and Nancy Booth.

     Sarah Newsome was born on 2 May 1794. She was the daughter of Joseph Newsome and Mary Gledhill. Sarah Newsome was baptized on 15 June 1794 at Batley.¹
She married George Ineson, son of George Ineson and Alice Taylor, on 21 October 1813 at Batley witnesses William Ibberson, Joseph Jubb.¹
In the census of 30 March 1851 Sarah Ineson was listed as wife of George Ineson.

     Benjamin Senior was born on 13 January 1800 at Batley.¹ He was the son of John Senior and Elizabeth Colbeck.
Benjamin Senior was baptized on 2 February 1800 at Batley.
He married Elizabeth Talbot, daughter of James Talbot and Mary Sunderland, on 5 July 1821 at Batley.²
In 1824 Benjamin Senior joined the congregation of the Methodist New Connexion, then housed in a Chapel at the top of Spa Hill.³
In the census of 6 June 1841 he was listed as the head of household at Havercroft Lane end, Batley, as a rag dealer. George and Benjamin were partners in Sheard & Senior. A Sarah Talbot aged 10 is listed as a female servant.⁴
George Eayrs tells us that in his home Benjamin Senior and his wife cherished a little orphan girl who became Mrs. A. Ackroyd. This was  Sarah daughter of his wife's cousin James Talbot.³
In 1844 Benjamin Senior built a rag warehouse in Commercial Street.⁵
In 1845 Benjamin Senior was an executor for the Will of William Colbeck.⁶

In the census of 30 March 1851 he was listed as the head of household at Havercroft, Batley, as a woollen manufacturer firm of two employing 74 men and 22 women.⁷

Benjamin Senior and George Sheard were were living close to each other at the top of Hick Lane. Both mention a firm of 74 men, and in George's case 21 women, in Benjamin's case 22 women.
The partnership of George and Benjamin as Rag Merchants and woollen Manufacturers was dissolved by mutual consent on the 24th of March1854.^7,8 A later article concerning Benjamin says:-
"Without going back to what seems ancient history in the staple trade of Batley, the late Mr. Senior was one of the earliest and most prosperous pioneers, and along with the late Mr John Jubb and Messrs Robert and George Blakeley of Dewsbury so succeeded in planting shoddy in this district of heavy woollen manufactory that now, whatever cloth is made, it is almost a "sine qua non" that shoddy is one of its component parts".

In 1855 Benjamin Senior was left £150 pounds in the will of George Sheard, his former business partner and one of his executors, as a token of a long friendship.
In 1856 Benjamin Senior lived at Hick Lane House, Batley.
He was listed as head of household in the 1861 census still at at Hick Lane, Batley.Now listed as a mungo merchant. A nurse and female servant are employed.⁹

Foundation of Zion Chapel
in 1864 Benjamin Senior urged the Methodist Congregation, who had built a new chapel at the junction of Commercial Street and Branch Road, to enlarge the chapel. It should be remembered that Batley's population was increasing fast, and it was decided to take down the existing structure and build one twice its size.³ Building material from the old chapel was used, but it was at the suggestion of Benjamin Sheard Benjamin's son-in-law, that entirely new material was provided for the facade of the present chapel, funded by Benjamin Sheard and Benjamin and his family.³
He lived in 1872 at Linefield House, Batley.¹⁰ He died on 10 September 1872 at age 72.^10,1

     Ruth Senior was born on 19 March 1802. She was the daughter of John Senior and Elizabeth Colbeck. Ruth Senior was baptized on 11 April 1802 at Batley.

     Sarah Senior was born on 14 August 1804. She was the daughter of John Senior and Elizabeth Colbeck. Sarah Senior was baptized on 18 September 1804 at Batley.
She married Joseph Cowling, son of Joshua Cowling and Rebecca Healey, on 19 February 1828 at Batley witnesses were Jo. Chadwick and Benjamin Senior.¹
Sarah Cowling died in 1847. She was buried on 19 August 1847 ; aged 43.¹

      Letitia Talbot was also known as Latitia Talbot. She was born in 1813. She was the daughter of Hannah Talbot. Letitia Talbot was baptized on 6 June 1813 at Batley.¹
She married Matthew Ineson, son of Gershon Ineson and Sarah Jackson, on 26 December 1831 at Batley.¹
In the census of 6 June 1841 Letitia Talbot was listed at Havercroft Lane end, Batley, as wife of Matthew Ineson.²
In the census of 30 March 1851 Letitia Talbot was listed at Commercial St., Havercroft, Batley, as wife of Matthew Ineson.³

     Matthew Ineson was born on 28 July 1808. He was the son of Gershon Ineson and Sarah Jackson. Matthew Ineson was baptized on 29 January 1809 at Batley.¹
He married Letitia Talbot, daughter of Hannah Talbot, on 26 December 1831 at Batley.¹
In the census of 6 June 1841 he was listed as the head of household at Havercroft Lane end, Batley, as an Engineer.²
In the census of 30 March 1851 he was listed as the head of household at Commercial St., Havercroft, Batley, as a Carpenter.³

     Gershon Ineson married Sarah Jackson.

     William Slater was residences at Newton, parish of Stanley. He married an unknown person.

     Peter Heppleston was also known as Peter Hepinstal at marriage. He was born circa 1774. He married Elizabeth Elyard on 31 October 1796 at Dewsbury.¹
In the census of 30 March 1851 he was listed as the head of household at Providence Street, Batley, as a retired carpenter.²
In the census of 7 April 1861 he was listed as the head of household at Heppleston Buildings, Providence St, Batley, as a widower aged 87, a joiner and cabinet maker.³

     Elizabeth Elyard married Peter Heppleston on 31 October 1796 at Dewsbury.¹

     Robert Heppleston was born in 1812. He is the son of Peter Heppleston and Elizabeth Elyard. Robert Heppleston married Ellen Senior, daughter of John Senior and Eleanor Bain, on 18 September 1833 at Batley witnesses Stephen Blakeley and Joseph Chadwick.¹
As of 1841, Robert Heppleston was also known as Robert Heppenstall.

     Ellen Senior was born in 1813 at Batley. She was the daughter of John Senior and Eleanor Bain. Ellen Senior was baptized on 18 September 1813 at Batley.¹
She married Robert Heppleston, son of Peter Heppleston and Elizabeth Elyard, on 18 September 1833 at Batley witnesses Stephen Blakeley and Joseph Chadwick.¹

     Grace Senior Heppleston was born in 1840 at Batley. She was the daughter of Robert Heppleston and Ellen Senior. Grace Senior Heppleston married John Fox, son of David Fox and Elizabeth Midgley, in 1859.^1,2
In the census of 7 April 1861 Grace Senior Fox was listed at Albert St, Batley, as wife of John Fox.³
In the census of 2 April 1871 Grace Senior Fox was listed at Caledonia Road, Batley, as wife of John Fox.⁴
In the census of 3 April 1881 Grace Senior Fox was listed at Grosvenor Road, Batley, as wife of John Fox.⁵
In the census of 5 April 1891 Grace Senior Fox was listed at Brook Street, Ilkley, as wife of John Fox.⁶

     John Heppleston was born on 1 June 1804 at Batley.¹ He was the son of Peter Heppleston and Elizabeth Elyard. John Heppleston was baptized on 8 July 1804 at Batley.¹
He married Ellen Preston on 7 May 1832 at Dewsbury.
In the census of 30 March 1851 he was listed as the head of household at Providence Street, Batley, as a fuller of cloth.²
John Heppleston died on 5 August 1873 at age 69.³

     Ellen Preston was born circa 1810 at Dewsbury. She married John Heppleston, son of Peter Heppleston and Elizabeth Elyard, on 7 May 1832 at Dewsbury.
In the census of 30 March 1851 Ellen Preston was listed at Providence Street, Batley, as wife of John Heppleston.¹

     Robert Preston Heppleston was born circa 1832 at Soothill. He was the son of John Heppleston and Ellen Preston. In the census of 30 March 1851 he was listed as as a fuller's son the son of John Heppleston at Providence Street, Batley.¹
Robert Preston Heppleston married Lydia Hobbet in 1853.²
In the census of 7 April 1861 he was listed as the head of household at Providence Street, Batley, as a cloth fuller living next to his father. He is said to have worked with his father from whom he l;earnt his trade.³

     Jane Heppleston was born in 1834 at Batley. She was the daughter of John Heppleston and Ellen Preston. In the census of 30 March 1851 she was listed as as domestic the daughter of John Heppleston at Providence Street, Batley.¹
Jane Heppleston married Thomas Law, son of Joseph Law and Sarah (?), in 1855 at Batley.

     Mary Blakeley Law was born in 1855 at Batley. She was the daughter of Thomas Law and Jane Heppleston. Mary Blakeley Law married Phineas Fox, son of Abraham Fox and Susanna Blakeley, in 1878 at Batley.
In the census of 3 April 1881 Mary Blakeley Fox was listed as wife of Phineas Fox.

     Phineas Fox was born in 1855 at Batley. He was the son of Abraham Fox and Susanna Blakeley. He was listed in the census of 2 April 1871 Office boy.¹
Phineas Fox married Mary Blakeley Law, daughter of Thomas Law and Jane Heppleston, in 1878 at Batley.
In the census of 3 April 1881 he was listed as the head of household as a clerk to a woollen manufacturer.
Phineas Fox died on 31 July 1892 at Talbot Street, Batley.²

     Lydia Hobbet was born circa 1835. She married Robert Preston Heppleston, son of John Heppleston and Ellen Preston, in 1853.¹
