Sarah Bruce, a widow married John Robinson, son of James Robinson, on 11 December 1837 at Tong John gives his occupation as delver. Both were described as of the Parish of Birstal at time of their marriage; witnesses were Benj. Stubley and Wm Jefferys.
Sarah Kitson died in 1840. She was buried on 5 May 1840 at Batley ; aged 34, the same day as the baptism of John's youngest daughter Sarah.2
